im looking to buy a hair straightener that works as good as GHD and that is under 40 quid...
  • Hi teenage_Drama, do you happen to know anyone who works in the hairdressing business? If you do, you might be able to get some professional hair straighteners which they use in salons for cheap.

Hi teenage_Drama, both my daughter and I have very thick hair I bought some straightners by Kodo from a salon about 3 years ago and paid £65 but just looked on ebay and there are loads on there for around £30. I would say these are as good as GHD ones. Hope this is of some help to you.

These go up to 130 degrees and are 40 pounds down from 60.

I've just bought my teenage daughter these or defo similar to stop her pinching my GHD's, i must admit i'm actually really impressed with them, we both have really thick hair although mine is really naturally curly ,so i got the GHD's as they had came highly recommended, i think the remingtons i got go up to 230 degrees too ? so very very hot, i used them a couple of days ago to see if i could notice the difference and i couldn't, worked just as well as the GHD's

do these remmington ones glide thru the hair like the ghds please i have Rmgtn wet to straight and they work ok but do tend to pull the hair.. yes even when dry! i tend not to use them on wet too often, i love the GHD's when i go to hairdressers and have found nothing like them, but the price puts me off! lol, TIA

yes they do glide through the hair and i find they grip it better than the ghds to straighten it. but without pulling. well, on my hair anyway, and its really thick!
