Diary of how I went from ican to iquit (abridged version!!)

  • Firstly congratulations Iquit.

Your story raised a couple of questions for me regarding the OR contact, is the initial contact always at the court or might it be later in the same day once you have left? Wondered which phone number to put for contact purposes. Also with regards to the telephone or f2f interview, is there some flexability with the date/time to allow for getting time of work etc? Thanks (and sorry to hijack thread!)

From my understanding (I could be wrong, I usually am) :rotfl: you have to speak to them on the day of BR, so they can confirm with you what you are now no longer able to do, which bank account you use etc.. I spoke to mine at the court..

Not sure how flexible they are with interviews, tbh I'd take the date they give you or you might end up having to wait much longer, they are getting busy now!

Don't know if all courts work the same, but from reading the posts on here, I get the impression they don't, so maybe these things aren't set in stone..

I did not have a call from the OR on the day and did not hear from them until I recieved some forms through the post 4 days later. If I had not spoke to them about an issue I had I would not have spoken to them at all to date

Well you finaly did it iquit, it may take a while to sink in, and it is not the imediate end to all problems, for some it solves more than for others, but at least you know where your going now, and there is something conferting in having a sense of direction again, even if your not exactly in control of that direction.

But you will be, and a lot sooner than it may seem some days, there will still be up and down days, expect them, but they do pass;)

    welcome to the club:D

Thant's interesting YM, and quite surprising really. I was told I couldn't leave the court until I had spoken to the OR - or one of the clerks. Obviously different rules for different courts

Thanks folks for the OR contact answers, might have to put works number down as a contact number then (they pretty much all know I'm going BR as its only a small Pharmacy).

'I'll now return you to the normal thread and we can continue to congratulate Iquit on her excellent start on the future!'
