Hairdressers ... aieee..... I go to one of those £12 jobs where you just wait your turn - it was £10 till last year. The cuts are surprisingly good, and of course I cut my own fringe in between. I wonder how often Vulcans have to get their hair cut, to keep that fringe in such a straight line? :rotfl:
Shaun, did the kids starve to death, or did you manage to find some emergency rations? :rotfl:
I've been deciding what other books to put on amazon to sell - I got 6 books over the weekend that belonged to my brother in law, and I have an unofficial policy nowadays that if I get a book in, I have to get rid of an existing one. Its starting to get a bit tough, but I'm still going.
Off to work now - ttfn.

I am going to have to spend some money at lunchtime.....I brought in last nights leftovers which I have reheated and eaten.....very yummy but it wasn't as big a portion as I thought, and it has not stopped my tum from rumbling!
So I will have to have something else, otherwise my rumblings will be rather offputting for all nearby!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -

Fingers crossed that the bike isnt too expensive to fix!
All that talk of hairdressers reminds me of when I used to go and spend a few hours there, hair cut and colour then straightned. sometimes I just used to go and have it curled for a night out. Then there was the trips to the MAC counter in debehanams for the makeover.................followed by the manicure. Why am I in debt again???

Although OH has now agreed a new bike is out of the question, so some progress has been made there.
DD has been confirmed as going to China, so that is money to be found - ebay ebay ebay!!!
We have a Tesco delivery this evening so we are starting a "see how long we can make it all last" challenge.......Our next student arrives on 28th so am hoping to just have bread and milk shops between now and then. I am sure it will be ok.....the family have been warned!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. Good luck raising the money for China for DD - some how I have no doubt at all that you'll manage it!
We've decided to try for an interest free card and split the amount over 13 months. We'll then set up a direct debit so it's all paid off. It will prolong until we're debt free but it will take the pressure off...especially as i've had to cancel work this week as i've hurt my back. I kind of feel it's a cop out but I can't cope with the pressure!!! In the meantime we'll save up so we've got something to fall back on if anything awful happens.
Ooops....i've just written an essay, sorry!!! xx0 -
Sorry about your back, mudbath - but if you have taken the pressure off yourself, that is a good thing. You can always pay it off a bit quicker if you are able and want to, can't you?!
Shopping has been delivered - £81.10, but the total spends for today (excluding the bike) are over £100 which is not good.....
Have done a dooyoo review though.....:TSuccessful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
That's what we'd do Hypno...get some savings and get interest paid on that. Knowing me i'd pay the card off early but knowing I didn't have to would stop me stressing!!! I'd definitely set up a direct debit though so it was all paid off.
Hope you get your next dooyoo payment through soon xx0
