Ahh Hypno, we all get that feeling, and far too often. My car is on its really last legs and everyday I drive to work just chanting "please dont break down, please dont break down". Every time I plan to out a few quid aside to save, it doesn't seem to happen!

I know it is not just me that feels that way, and of course because we are in this for the long haul, we get regular attacks of it! I think Mudbath sums it up nicely - a long time since the last payday and a long time until the next one comes along!

We're contemplating taking one last 0% credit card for 13 months and then paying £100 a month for that time so it's all paid off. The alternative is throwing every last penny at it and paying the caravan off in 4 months. I seem to have a bad case of being totally fed up of not having any spare cash! Aaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!! That feels better :oxx

I think that part of my problem today has been that I have just about thought I am more or less in control of the finances, but the "spending diary" is showing that it is more "less" than "more" in control!

Spending is not necessarily excessive, but it is definitely unaffordable

And that still doesn't allow for any new clothes, haircuts, or lunches etc, so I have got a long long way to go before I am in that financial comfort zone that I thought was relatively quite near.

    Hmmmmm.......

skint - I use the "extra" money to pay off the debt....I really really want rid of it, I only really (one really, not two!) want new clothes and a bit of pampering!

I'm planning to reinstate haircuts with an element of choice in July - what's the betting I still end up with longish hair that doesn't need much attention? I used to go every four to six weeks but four times a year would be more like it now!:o

I'm in between cuts.......it is about a year since I had mine done, but I am hoping to get a cheap cut at the end of June.....I long for the full salon experience with qualified hairdressers and a cup of coffee! Or somewhere I can make a proper appointment not just "turn up and wait".....

.....followed by lunch with a friend, and a nice massage and manicure, of course!
