Think thats a thing a lot of men struggle with including mine! Whenever I mention our first house he has visions of a country mansion with acres of land whilst I have visions of at the most a 3 bedroom house.

I too am feeling the "more month than money" feeling today...We'll blame the weather.

I've kept my hair long for a good few years now due to cutting down on hairdressing costs, I even got my mum to trim it for me and she's famed for the bowl cuts of the 70's...yes I was that desperate.....then last month I was treated to a hair cut by a friend.....was bliss, I came out like a new woman....I went short, I went choppy, I went trendy.....of course it now looks like a complete dogs dinner and I can't afford to go have it cut again....such is life.

Hypno - well done on the spending diary - tis a brave thing to do and it's sure to help others distinguish between avoidable expenditure too.
