Is there a way to stop people getting into your garden?

Carpet gripper is cheap as chips and easy to fix, beware anybody shorter than your fence as you will need to "unhook" them if there feet cant reach the ground0

I'd just be tempted to smear the whole top of the fence with anti-vandal paint - and lots of it.
Unless they want to ruin their new trainers, they'll keep off.
a few years ago I had a problem with the local teenagers walking past to school and ripping out my chain link fence. This happened over winter as it was going dusk.
I solved the problem with the aid of my little scottie dog, and one of his 'deposits' which I smeared all along the fence. I watched from behind the curtains the next night as evil child grabbed hold of the link and run his hand along it...
The look of horror on his face as he dropped the chain, looked at his hand and shot off up the street was quite satisfying! I cleaned the fence and oddly enough its never been touched again0 -
I love this thread, I have always had problems with kids playing in our front garden. I don't understand it, they don't even live near us, I have no idea where they live. We're the only garden along our street with a front wall and small gate so there are numerous other gardens that are wide open for them to jump around on.
I'm loving the idea of the paint or even the poop is a better one, I will have to keep looking back for some more tips to keep those little monkeys (yes I had to clean that up) out of our garden.0 -

Actually, this is a much better idea.- It's free.
- It's revolting.
- It's organic so will eventually wash away/decompose.
- You can't get the blame as it's a natural substance.
- And no one is going to go near it again in a hurry.

Don't even start me on kids running all over my front garden.
I put a little picket fence up round ours to stop footballs rolling on to it so the kids wouldn't have to run all over my garden to fetch the ball.
It was only up a week before the ball was kicked over the little fence and the kid climbing over the fence caught it with his foot and knocked it half over.

Don't put anything on the fence that could harm anyone, you will be liable if somebody was to get hurt.
You could speak to the person in question and tell them to stop doing this, if they ignore it then like someone said put the anti vandal paint on your fence, (providing the fence is yours and not shared, in this case you would need the neighbours aggreement) You can also inform your local police and get them to visit and warn the neighbour of trespassing.Married 1st October 2015:heartpuls
