I know I'm probably going to get shot down in flames but when you've had your shed broken into on more than one occasion and the scroats knicked the alarm at one point, there going to get it when I eventually catch them.

I've had the neighbours kids thinking my garden is an extension of there's, I like a nice garden and spend a bit on it they don't, and they think I'm strange when they ask for the ball back and I say the dogs got it and your not coming in here for it, and I've told them if the dog bites them in my garden they can't sue me. My mum would have murdered us if we had annoyed the neighbours in this way but times do change. Not fir the better.

I find it so annoying that other peoples kids think they can waltz over neighbours gardens, with the words it was an accident, well when there kicking the ball as high as they can I don't see how it's an accident when it nearly takes my windows with it. My dog actually loves them he's had so many tennis balls to shred, but he is a soft loopy dog they don't really have any chance of been bitten unless they try prising the ball out of his mouth.

Don't forget that it is a well established tactic for burglars and thieves to claim that they have kicked a ball in your back garden and they are trying to retrieve it!!!

Some 'children' are expert criminals at this game so don't be fooled by the tender age especially when in organised gangs.

Make it as difficult as possible for them to get in......a reasonably cheap visible CCTV system is what will put them off as you will have evidence of them trespassing and a picure of the offender to give to local plod.

there is a row of council houses behind our private estate (which is full of elderly people avg age 75) and a new family moved in and kept harrasing the elderly people on the estate jumping in the garden trashing flowers swearing jestering they thought the gardens were an extension of thier own. four younger families including me wrote to the council to express our concern and they took them to court (i must say there had been successfull drug raids there to) to get them evicted and they still got to stay as she was by the court date up the duff again. Although I must admit they dont even think of coming down to our estate now.

I'd just be tempted to smear the whole top of the fence with anti-vandal paint - and lots of it.

Unless they want to ruin their new trainers, they'll keep off.

My neighbour who climbs over is actually older than me (early thirties I'd say) and has 2 small children. When they grow up I now expect them to follow in their dads example and will be in my garden without a second thought.

We live on a new estate so we all have fairly small gardens, except he has 6ft goal posts in his garden and kicks the ball like he's on a football pitch.
