thanks also to grateful and valli. Grateful i sent you a PM with further details.

Valli - no boys are only in nursery on the days i work unfortunately, and my problem with evenings is they are both monkeys at sleeping so we start bedtime at 7 and depending on what daytime sleep they have had, it is somewhere between 7:30 and 8:30 they are asleep We then have to cook and eat, and it is about 9 when i start. I don't really want to be working at midnight still, but i did twice last week.

And your Q about nursery. I did complain and got an apology and assured it wouldn't happen again. New and young staff i'm afraid. I then had another problem when Sam was poorly on Wednesday and they tried to contact me but couldn't because the dopey idiot who rang must have looked in Charlie's file and got the old extension number from before the rebuild, so they moaned at me about that. Then on Friday i got cross as i asked if Charlie still has sun cream in his locker, and my answer was no - we threw it all out last year. At £12 for a bottle of factor 50, i hope not, so another complaint needed i think as i'm sure the shelf live was 2 years and it isn't even one yet.

Anyway, enough of my ranting. I really do appreciate you guys helping me out with your thoughts. I think i will go for try and do a bit each night till i get quicker with the weekends off, and then once i hit half term i can try and plan ahead for the last half term in terms of resources with some daily tweaking time. Best get back to it so i'm not there till midnight again.

Surprised at them throwing out sun cream you were asked to provide - it should have been returned to you if they wanted to clear out, both because you have paid for it and because then you would know that he didn't have it...
ah then - planning at night is not going to be easy...

Toots - I did go shopping. Not sure it was a successful trip. I think I should have gone to the village shop, but I don't like their veggies, and didn't get to the farm shop yesterday. Anyway, I think I have what I need to make it through the week!

Suppose I should go out and get the washing off the line... it's probably getting damp

Then I need to work out what to wear, pack my gym bag for tomorrow, put away the clothes that I moved from the airing cupboard to my bed, make my bed, run a bath and then read in the bath until I'm ready to sleep.

Must remember that I need to swim early tomorrow, as I have a 9.30am meeting for some reason... Hopefully I'll leave on time to have a quick run and go to yoga.

Tuesday I have to go out to some Information Security awards dinner. No idea why I've been invited or what it will be like (bet there aren't many other women ;)), but it should be useful networking! I won't be drinking though, as a. it's work and b. I have an early gym session on Wednesday.

Oh well, I've just about made it through the week. Here's hoping things get better... (otherwise, as the stress has woken up my stomach ulcer, I'll be getting REALLY p'd off :p)
