I'm good urg, joined the Flylady thread too but can't get motivated, only doing level 1's just now but place is driving me mad, might need to blitz it.
Well I've been on here an hour so better go and get something done, ashamed to admit cancelled the gym tonight, I need a kick to get me moving. Have a nice night, might be on later too x0 -
I ended up getting the book and looking her up on the net - flylady dot net. I found the concepts made more sense to me. She starts you off on small steps and day by day (training you to get the habit). It might be worth a look.
Am starving so going to get some food - maybe catch up later.

Hi CWC
We went to see the XMen Film - OH likes action movies and I can cope with the action.
We've just got back after popcorn during the film and dinner at a Pakistani restaurant. The food was good but soooo oily. That's what I hate about eating curries at restaurants.
It's been a nice night. Am really tired now - I may head off to bed after a bit of surfing.
How's the revision going for the rest of the exams?

Hi Urg, hope you are well!! I'm just catching up with all the diaries I am subscribed to as the past week has been a bit mad!! Had my last exam of semester 2 today so I feel like a free woman again! The revision was ok for my other exams, the middle exam I was quite happy with, the one tonight I felt a bit out of my depth but I answered the questions as best I could so time will tell!
Will catch up with your progess and the other diaries and then crack on with my ebay'ing and my Eastenders that I've recorded - Bye for Now! :wave:0 -
Today is a postive update:
I have sold my first items on ebay - I'm really pleased that I have started on this journey. I have four more items still on line. This has give me the incentive to keep selling - I WILL make some money from my clutter!
Talking of clutter - I have taken two bags of clothes to the charity shop and given a load of bits and bob's to OH's Dad to sell at the boot sale.
My flat is so much tidier and I feel more in control. I still have loads to do!
I have also sold another book on Amazon so will package that up with the other items.
I have also saved myself £13 DD for my BT bill as I was over £17 in credit. This will go straight on the debt.
All those little steps are adding up. I now need to go and work out how much money I have made in the last few days.

Just thought I'd update
I've had a bit of a crap evening. Had to finish off a report I started 2 years ago! It's a long story but has a lot to do with my workload back then. I really should go back and check what is missing so I can do it all properly!
Because of that, tonight hasn't been the success I wanted but I have managed to do a few things.
Good things:- 3 of my current ebay items have bids on them and all 5 are being watched. Hoping for a bidding war by Sunday!
- I have earned £2 in scratchcards - free money!
- I joined a survey site and have earned £0.75 so far!
- I managed a NSD today and hope to have another tomorrow. I did want to have 10 this month but think I can realistically get 8 or 9 at a push (unless OH pays for stuff this weekend - could be an option seeing as he;ll get paid tomorrow!)
- I am identifying more and more stuff to ebay - it is all going in the ebay corner for photographing
- I had a great session with my co-mentor yesterday. I am still floundering career-wise but it is nice to have support from someone who gets my industry and cr*p that can go on within it.
- My mum's birthday celebration plans are going well
- I think I might actually achieve in the GC for once (partly because I have relaxed slightly about what I include and exclude!)
- I love having the flat to myself - it's hard to walk around in your knickers when you have a lodger!
- I'm getting really bored at work and am surfing the net lots - need to get that back in check
- There are no interesting or appropriately paying jobs for me to go to.
- I haven't heard from my lodger yet - he is going to contact me when he has heard about his visa situation. If not I need to re-advertise the room which I think will be a lot harder in the current market
- It all seems very hard at the moment - I have no motivation and feel tired all the time.
Night everyone in DFW Diary Land

My last update was an attempt to keep me upbeat. It feels like a bit ofa struggle at the moment on the money front.
OH and I have had a great weekend - we've caught up with some chores, spent time with family and managed a trip to a massive cash and carry. I didn;t buy a huge amount - we went to have a look at what we can get for my mum's birthday party. I will now compare a few items so I can buy some essentials at cheaper prices. One problem is that you end up buying in bulk and need space to put everything!
I get paid on Wednesday and need to plan the next month's budget - I usually start this ages in advance but haven't done as yet.
Some other good news - my paypal account has £28 in it from ebay sales. I will keep trying to sell more until it gets to £50.
Not much else to report.

Well done urg, can sympathise with trying to keep upbeat, it can all get too much sometimes! You sound like you are back on track though so keep up the good work. The old bulk buying eh, wish could do that too but as you say never anywhere to store it all!
Have a nice nite, off to bed after Britain's Got Talent x0 -
I got an email from my lodger today saying his visa wasn't granted. I was really counting on him coming back for me to be able to get back on track. Not sure what I am going to do - have suggested to OH that it might be time for him to move in!! It's going to be impossible to get that money any other way.
I will have to think about this in more detail - I've really enjoyed having the flat to myself but I am not sure that I can afford to not have one.
There's quite a bit going on in my life - it's my mum's birthday soon and we want to have a great party as it is her 60th. The week after she has to go in to hospital for a procedure. No matter how much I know it's a routine procedure I do worry about it. I think I'll have to wait until I know everything is sorted before I start to advertise.
It'll give me some time to do some decluttering. I think I may do some tonight.
On with the daily list - it's the only way I am going to get anywhere with this DFW journey.0 -
Hello Urgxxxx
thought I drop in and say hi. sounds like you have a lot going on. hope your Mum is ok, decluttering is always a good distraction. I have to do some tomorrow.
The last line of your post really struck a chord with me. my head is full at the moment and I am not getting anywhere! but it is on with the daily list or I am getting no where!

Hi Urg,
Same here, too much going on in my head too - decluttering for me as well, great minds must think alike (Buffy too)! Remember and take some time out for yourself and don't burn out. Good luck with the 60th birthday plan for your mum x0
