urg's 123 Back to Basics Debt Free Plan

Hi urg,
Almost 9 o'clock, better get some revision done! Hope got that sofa people sorted out, are you planning on saving up to pay balance once 0% is finished? I bought my suite on a 0% and when I was supposed to start paying, the monthly payment was huge, suite would've cost be almost double!
Have a good night x0 -
Making plans to move - honest!
I have written a very strong letter to them. It looks like they set up a new credit account rather than changing the old account when they started to charge me wrongly last month. I have given them 14 days to get back to me to confirm that it is sorted. If it is not, then I am going straight to the complaints procedure.
I haven't added the sofas to the overall debt. I haven't decided what I'll do about paying them back. I know I won't have the money when the payments are due to start but I expect to be debt free asap and so could possibly afford it. Although, it's an interest free loan so in some ways it would be ok to just make the normal payments for three years. It will be £35ish per month which I can manage.
Anyway it's 9pm so better get on to that revision.
Take care,

Hello Urg,
Just read your diary and it's full of loads of great ideas for the months ahead. Good luck with them. I keep a diary also, just to keep me on the straight and narrow!
I'm also trying to lose a few lbs too so will be joining you on that one, it's just SO hard  I'm great at being good during the day but then I fall in the evenings and short of keeping myself busy busy busy for the entire evening I don't know what to do. Maybe I should opt for hours walking...it's free
Anyway, enough yapping from me. Hope the studyings going well! Have subscribed so will be catching up again

Hi Urg, hope the revision has gone well. I can't get into it tonight, I ended up having to go back to work after DD was in be so was extremely tired by the time I got home
Going to my parents house for the weekend so that I can get some good quality revision done, my OH has a list of "To-Do's" in the house so will leave him to it while my folks spend some time with my DD.
Good Luck again with the Revision!!0 -
Hi urg,

Hi Swinstie,
Have given myself the night off today! Did a bit of ironing in front of the telly and am catching up on a few diaries on here.
Going to do a good stint tomorrow until OH gets here after the football.
Roll on 5pm Tuesday! I'll be so glad when its over and I can be getting on with my plan to make more money and lose weight or my Get Fit, Get Rich campaign!
Nite x

Note to self - now that lodger has moved out I can claim single-person's discount on the Council Tax.
Revision is going VERY slowly. I will have to do a couple of hours today in order to keep up. Off to spend time with family today so that will be nice.
Managed my first NSD yesterday - nine to go.
Better get on with the revision and then I can have some fun!
Hope everyone else in diary land is enjoying the lovely weekend.

Hi Urg.... I can sympathise with the revision, mine isn't going to great either! Even dreamt last night that I failed the exam by 3% and the lecturer was telling me how very disappointed he was in meThen I woke up with a splitting sore head, think I gave myself information overload yesterday. I think I'm going to wander up to the ice cream shop in this glorious sunshire for a little treat! It will make it a non-NSD but I'm not here every weekend and I DO love a nice ice cream!
Hope you had a nice day with your family... x0 -

Hi Everyone
Just back from a lovely day with my parents and then we went to OH's family home for a BBQ. Food was really nice and it was good fun. It's really nice that both of our folks are getting on well.
I went shopping with my parents and as our shopping got mixed up, they wouldn't let me pay. Mum bought a box of mangoes and gave me half - I LURVE mangoes and am delighted that they are back in season. OH did a big shop for the BBQ and paid for my food too. I have repaid him slightly by putting petrol in the car.
Mum also gave me some money to pay for a meal that I had paid for a few weeks ago. I will use that towards a CC payment. If I use that and some money I have in a savings account for emergencies I should be able to pay off one whole CC which which will be lovely. Am to tired to do the full maths now.
Crapwithcash82 - I too lurve ice-cream. Hope your revision is going well. It'll soon be over and we can get on with the next things that we want to achieve in life.
Karen_30 - Thanks for the encouragement. I did manage to get some of the work done. The problem is that I am having to learn alot of this stuff for the first time! Not really revision but learning!
Am off to bed now as I need to be very, very focused to get the last of the learning done and to make sure that I have got the key facts and issues in my head. We had some very useful help in preparing for the exam so will be setting myself some timed tests to help get it into my head.
I can't wait for it to be 5pm on Tuesday when I will have a drink in my hand and be getting ready to meet my OH for a lovely meal! Knowing me though I will be too tired to really enjoy it.
I can't believe I've written so much. Really need to go to bed.

p.s. it is really nice to have the flat to myself. It's a shame that I have to have the lodger back. I know it'll help with the DFW goals so I am just going to enjoy the next month or so and aim to make up the difference over the next month.0
