I think you will find you cannot get a free unlock code for that model of phone it can only be unlocked if paid for...Try eBay.

If you're the original owners of the phones you'll be able to request the unlocking codes from us.

If you do a Google search for 'Vodafone unlocking codes' the top result will link you to the relevant form you'll need to complete.

I have a nokia lumas 520 which is locked to T-Mobile. I weant to unlock the phone to use with talktalk (vodaphone). T-mobile are unwilling to help as I purchased the handset from argos and not from them, can anyone please help?

It has nothing to do with what retail outlet you bought it from, but which network it is locked to. Argos do not issue unlocking codes and never have.

TMobile will only do if you are seen to be a valid customer so you'll need a SIM that can make calls and has some credit. Alternatively take it to your local market and ask them to do it - £10-20 is about right.

ok, thanks, I have a contract with T-Mobile, so i pay a monthly line rental. The cheapest from one of those unlock stores is £30.00 and takes five days. T-Mobile have advised me as i did not purchase the handset from directly, they are unable to help

Once a phone is unlocked does it stay unlocked even if you put back the original sim card from your network?
