Free Unlock codes for Nokia Phones 8 (U.K. Networks Only)

Nokia SL3 Unlocking (My handset was a Nokia C3-01)

First up, i contacted my network provider which could unlock the phone for £15, this would take up to 28 days. This set the benchmark.

A quick google brought up some eBay sellers from Poland who could provide an unlock code, i just had to source the information from the handset.

This passed me onto the http://www.i7evolution.com/ website. I required "6 credits" which the cost was roughly £3.50. For some reason i had to pay P&P on the transaction, maybe something that can be disputed afterwards as there was no method to remove it.

With the software installed, the reading of the handset through the supplied USB data lead was carried out. The software saved the .log file on the computer, mine was a .SHA file type.

Next onto eBay, a search for "SL3 Unlock" brings back many sellers, mostly with .pl email addresses. I found one that could provide me with a fast service, used "Buy-It-Now" and sent them the .SHA log file as requested.

Less than 3hrs later, i had an email in my inbox telling me that the unlock codes had been generated, and they were enclosed. I entered the #pw***+1# code, and hey presto! the handset was unlocked.

Total cost - Less than £11
Equipment Required - USB Data Lead, Downloadable software from website

Also - do I need to leave the spaces between the code numbers, or is the code simply one long number starting with the #pw+ code (no spaces)??

It's a BB5 phone and can be unlocked only if paid for, as there are no free remote codes. Contact a pro unlocker/market stall or your network provider

I bought a Nokia C1-01 in ASDA Poole last week, the girl told us the phones were unlocked but I've now returned to Mozambique to discover it's locked to O2! Asda and Nokia won't help me, you cannot e-mail O2, just phone, which I can't do from here! I desperately need a code to unlock, anyone got any ideas?

If Asda told you that that the phone was unlocked before you purchased it, and is not, take it back and get a refund, otherwise take it to a pro unlocker/market stall.

If you have the provided USB Lead & a Paypal account, then £3/€3 you will be able to read the phone, to get the log file.
