Apologies if I have missed a relevant posting - I'm trying to unlock my Nokia 6303 Classic (BB5) but apart from a couple of dubious sites that say they're free until I put my details in I can't find anything .

BB5 phone I’m afraid, there are no free remote codes, you will have to contact your network provider, or a professional unlocker/market stall. There are remote codes, which you can purchase from the web, on certain networks, but they all cost.

what is it with bb5 phones that mean some chap in a market stall can unlock it whereas the average joe at home cannot. is it a piece of hardware that is required? or is it just a very complex process? fyi, i have an e51 that i am trying to unlock.
