SL3 phone I’m afraid, there are no free remote codes, you will have to contact your network provider, or a professional unlocker/market stall. There are remote codes, which you can purchase from the web, on certain networks, but they all cost.

took it to 4 different unlockers today and none of them said they can do it

have just emailed vodaphone to see what they say..

It is, but only through your network provider/market stall or pro unlocker, as there are no free remote codes, being a BB5 model.

The first post (from 2007) says that this can not be unlocked except by stallholder - is this still the case ?

I'm afraid so, it's a DCT4+ phone and there are no free remote codes for that phone. Network provider/market stall or a pro unlocker can help here.
