  • Good day everyone, well after yesterdays mother nature visit i decided that im going to spend sometime focusing on my body and weight loss. So i signed up to do herbalife for a 10 day kickstart. I decided that i should shift some weight and the rest will follow, it gives me something to focus on and il feel better for it. So i woke up this morning invigortated to take hold of my health and had a go at running, it wasnt as bad as i thought i did run walk but im hoping i can build up to full running and ive read that you can also run when pregnant. Im drinking my water and just trying to keep positive. xx

Good luck Happy. After you've done your 10 day kick start, I'd just focus on eating healthily and getting lots of fruit and veg rather than following a 'diet', particularly one that relies on meal replacements.

I'm living proof that being significantly overweight does not necessarily mean that you won't get pregnant (and I don't think you are!), but ensuring you are healthy will give you a much better chance regardless of your size.

The exercise and a healthy diet will help lots though I'm sure :)

When are you due Jwil? Exciting times!!!

I think you are right, just being healthy - no fads is prob the best way to go but we all like a little kick start to keep us going ;)

I (as my user name confirms!) need to really kick the choc habit though :o

Glad you are ok happy - you will get there and this time next year we'll both be talking about our new borns! I'm sure of it :)

I'm due next weekend Choc-addict  Baby was a big surprise!

I certainly agree there's nothing like a kick start to get the motivation going though. Your user name would very much suit me too :D

I reckon you and Happy both will be here with your babies this time next year :)

Well done, that's a huge amount to knock off your time! :T

I don't mind at all - I've only gained about 2kg as of 2 weeks ago (maybe a little more now...). I was very sick for about the first 5 months though, so presumably lost a lot of weight then. I think I will weigh less after I give birth than when I found out I was pregnant.

I presume my size may have made a difference as well - they did say to me not to put any more weight on if possible so it's worked out ok. I'm still in all my normal clothes which is very :money: :D but I'm sure it would not be the case if I was slimmer.

I'm around 20st  so approx 8 stone above where I should be.

I think it depends - I haven't made any real effort not to gain weight - the morning sickness probably helped a lot with that. However, I haven't fallen into the trap of 'eating for two' - I've just eaten normally and tried to include lots of fruit and veg. You don't need to eat any more until the last trimester and then it's only an extra 200 cals I think which is nothing really!

I also went off a lot of 'bad' food - so completely stopped eating a lot of the junk for ages, it hasn't lasted :o but I'm sure that helped as well.

Good luck with the relaxed approach this month and the weight loss - you can do it!
