Righteo.......

Im on champix....to help me give up the smokes!!
which is working out brilliant:D
But im getting some side effects......my head is thumping, a little insomnia but the worst thing is I havn't done a No2 in maybe 4 days!!!! ( and yes you all needed to know that.........sorry!) So I have been eating the weetabix and brown bread to try and help in that dept......but so far nothing!:(
But I have saved around £36.00 by not smoking!!
The kids only realised today that I havn't been smoking!!! And they are delighted:D
Money wise the ctc went into the bank yesterday!! And i have only spent £54.00 on DS1 guitar lessons.....I know its expensive but its the only thing he has.....Its paid until the end of term.....still eating out of the freezer, and im going to continue doing so until they are emptied, then meal plan and shop for the week!!

Still no bank forms.....for internet banking!!!!!:(
Did I mention that I rang the local college and they dont do any horticulture courses:( so its going to have to be hard graft and trial and error to get the garden sorted!!

Builders are still here:(.....from 7.30am every morning......I asked today if they finished up early ( I want to go and see Dh in the hospital, and dont want to leave the door open!!) They said leave us a key and we will post it through the letterbox when we have finished!......Mmmm

I have already consumed 2 cups of coffee this morning.......to try and keep awake! I didnt get much sleep last night.....one of the side effects of the champix, oh and my tumble dryer is broken:(.......its been kinda wet over here and i put the dryer on yesterday and it wasnt heating up.....so I reckon its the thermostat!!:( I have had it for 5 years and to be fair it has been quite good to me. So I will buy one in the summer.....my thinking is that shops dont sell that many dryers in the summer, and they will be looking for a sale of some sort.....so I should be able to get a good discount!!!

You are doing a fabulous job, and you have such a positive attitude.

I started growing my own veg last year, and it is really easy, stick to simple things like potatoes, onions peas etc. If you are struggling, go onto the Greenfingered board, there is always someone there to help.

Sorry about your tumble drier, my last one was a Creda, and it lasted 27 years :T

You should be able to sort the fancy dress fairly cheaply, you probably have something in your wardrobe that you could adapt. Have fun at the party

Well done on the smoking front MO477 - it's hard I know as my hubby did it after 30 years of smoking - he did it on Ziban, but same effects as you. Try strong coffee, it always works for me as it opens up the blood vessels (which may help with the headaches too) and seems to act in other ways too but don't know how to word those ... (might be better to try that in the morning if you're getting the insomnia too though, don't want to be drinking it before going to bed... )

Hi mo4,

Just thought i'd say hi and wish you well with your journey. My oh has been on champix now for 14 weeks and has done brilliantly! The side effects do subside (including the weirdest dreams!) although he still feels a bit sick after taking the tablet.

Yeah I had some weird dreams, about an ex Bf........I went out with him 17 years ago!!! I havnt seen him for about 7 years as he moved away.....t'was weird alright!!!

I was smoking 20 per day......i knew i would go off them but when was a different matter..............So last sat I decided that would be the day......On the friday I had went to the hospital to see DH and called into the hole in the wall, for it to tell me that I was overdrawn on my overdraft, I got the shock of my life!!

DS2 asked me last night had I stopped smoking....and I said yes, he smiled and asked why I didnt tell them (the kids) and I said that if I failed I didnt want them to be disappointed in me!! He was delighted:D
