Unfortunately the system seems to make genuine claimants feel like fraudsters because so many people try it on. Definitely apply for her though.
Do you get the disabled child tax credit element for both boys too?

Good luck hopefully by taking a bit of time out on here to get organised will help. I would say to vent as well but you have such a PMA that I think that would be rare!

    Spending diary
    Budget
    Meal planning
    Grocery Challenge
To do lists on the diary

These are the things that have helped me as well as the great support from peeps on here.

PS I hope you dont but please dont feel bad about DH. You have/are doing everything possible so leave his care to others as ytou have enough on your plate. Having a sis in full time care I feel bad but have to accept my immediate family come first and I can influence that.

:AFirstly, I want to say thankyou to you. I have had a rough 2 weeks and was feeling sorry for myself and then read your post and made ,me remember you don't have to look far to find people worse than yourself. Also GOOD LUCk.
I will suscribe to your thread and pop in and see how you doing.
I am quite new to this and have found a lot of support from these threads, don't be upset if you get the odd nasty one, they are few and far but do pop up!
Look at oldstyle forums, great for tips on cleaning (many natural and cheap) my son asthmatic and I found they helped. Great for menue planning etc.
DLA is a definate must and very good idea to add photos. I worked for Social Services for bit and will have a think who can offer you some help with kiddiwinks - there are people but can't remember who now!
Will try to think of more ideas for you. You have taken the hardest step now.

    Hi

Just wanted to pop in and say hi. You've got such a positive attitude - it's definately going to help.

This is a great site - it's a lovely community of people who care about one another.

One more thing - no body on this site is any position to judge you or your circumstances - don't feel like you have to justify why your husband needed to go back into hospital. It's what right for him, you and your family.

You sound like an amazing woman - I know I'm going to learn alot from you too. Keep posting.

I do, really nice woman told me to apply for it on the phone last year!!
I have to say that my child tax credits keep me afloat :o but the kids keep growing and eating!! (although you wouldnt think it they are all quite slight.....sorry the 3 wee ones are...DS 1 has muscles that arnie would be proud of and a blooming 6 pack......he doesnt do that much excercise though!!!!!!) He takes medication, that can supress his appetite, and when he is hungry he eats....I dont care if its at 3am as long as he gets something!! but recently, he has been eating non stop.........not rubbish but full meals consisting of potatoes, veg and meat he is making himself pasta with pesto cause he is hungry!!!!!!!! I like seeing him eating because it was always a struggle to get him to eat anything but this is a little strange:rolleyes: I will keep an eye on him, but is it hormones???

    possibly it is hormones.

My nephewhas ADHD, Aspergers and Autism adn lives on a diet of chips, steak, toast, biscuits and popcron chicken :confused:although to look at him (hes 11 in case i haven't mentioned it) he is eye to eye with me at 5'5, muscles and a six pack and my 30 year old boyfriend has had problems restraining him in the past (he was on a medication that made him very angry indeed) but happy to report he is now medication free and a happy little kid if not a bit stroppy at times.

I would say to ask the nice peeps on Old Style board for help with food budgeting if you have a problem there, and take up the grocery challenge. Also old style cleaning methods (white vinegar and bicarb) may help your little ones skin conditions- no nasty chemicals to aggravate her conditions.

A spending diary may help you see where odd pennies are going. I was shocked that I use to buy a can of coke a day. so that's 58p x 365 = £211! just on a drink a year! yikes. it all adds up and you'll be shocked where you see things going.

apart form that chin up flower, your doing an amazing job. Oh where in northern Ireland?
