So I can make a start on the older ones uniforms now....well at the end of the month.....getting their shirts and socks and undercrackers!!
I do this.......Im just stressing about another thing:) Its ok its just me!! I flit from problem to problem.....I priortise this way.....it makes sense somehow:)
Hi MO477
Wow, you certainly have a lot on your plate - my hat is off to you...
That is a good trait to have being able to rise to the occasion, but make sure you don't take on too much - Childminding might be ideal for you, but what about how much you already have on? Only you will know what else you can take on, but don't push too much, after all, they will stop some of your tax credits against it and you may be working much harder for less IYKWIM.
Also, working from home will still leave you with just the kids to talk to and no adult interaction, which is what you may need sometimes (it seems like you have good friends, so that may not be a problem for you anyway...) It might also be a good way to test the water about fostering before you actually try it too... Good luck on whatever you decide on hun x
As for the school uniforms - speak to each school and see what they can do to help. I know our school have a second hand stock as well - stuff that has been donated by previous parents and students - they only keep the good stuff, so well worth chatting to them as some of it is like new.
Also, our school offer a payment plan for some, so may be a way for you to spread it out a bit so that you're not paying out in one big lump.
As for your mind being all over the place, join the club - I think that is a woman's trait to do 12 things at once and be thinking of the next 12 at the same time, but be careful, it can mean that you don't focus on what you need to do (mmmm, wonder why I know that?) so when you think of something else, try writing it down, add it to a list and then work from that, prioritising where appropriate - and that isn't always the most important things first - sometimes you need a break or a treat, so it may be painting the kitchen becomes more important than tidying the front room or filing the paperwork (don't hit me for saying that pigpen) - because of the feeling and the boost it will give you - so don't get too bogged down in doing stuff, try to do the 'right' stuff.
Finally (sorry, don't mean this to sound preachy by the way...) use freecycle (do you get the email updates?) and remember to post on there to ask for what you want as well as posting stuff on there - it does work so keep persevering with it...
And really finally this time - good luck hun, you have made me think about my life and what I need to do (again!) and that is what this forum is all about... you know where we all are if you need anything, just ask...:T:T:TLBM April 2013 - £29,000.00Vanquis CC's PAID - Debenhams SC PAID - A+L OD PAID - Asda CC £783.75Barclaycard CC £1400.78 - BoS CC PAID - Freemans Cat PAIDF/D Loan & CC £1458.96 - Santander Loan PAID - Mum Loan PAIDRBS OD PAID - F/D OD £1026.52Weekly Grocery Challenge - £95.00 budget / spend £-0 -
Morning MOF hope you have sunshine over the water today.
I know things are different there but can you get any help towards the uniforms. When I was PTA treasurer some parents had vouchers from the county council which could be redeemed against uniform. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Just wanted to say God bless, and I can't add anything to the excellent ideas posted here. I'll pray for you and your lovely family. Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x0

Hi Mumoffour,
Just wanted to say Hi, and good luck you will get good advise on here.0 -
Mof, ditto what many others have said sweetie, xxx.
YOU ARE AMAZING.:happylove
Re the uniforms, do check, you won't be alone re struggling with costs. Ask the school what provision they have for such circumstances. They must have some discretionary grants or know where you can access them. Ask the education department at the council, they would know too.
Re your outstanding debts, these need tackling as they are taking huge chucks of your money away, do you have CAB where you are. Think you need some practical help there.
Does your husband get any benefits, if most of his needs are being met at the unit, would you qualify to use a portion toward the childrens upkeep?
If I think of anything else hun, I'll post it here.
In the meantime, don't forget .....we're here for you day or night to offload and it's freexxx

Hi
I always look at the least important issue so here I go again - course wise, have you looked at a different type e.g. Occupational Therapy? Or if you applied through UCAS wait for clearing, you may still get in.

anybody'd think the Flyladies had had a tip off LOL
Hi Mo477
I am, and remain, in awe of you. (But you know that...)
All I can suggest is that you ask every health professional inc. hospital scocial workers you come into contact with what practical/financial support you can try for because different people know different things...you may be entitled to travel grants.
What about offering respite foster care in the short term?
Sorry to hear you didn't get into Uni - has has been suggested you could try clearing BUT I suspect there's only one institution you could practically go for anyway.
