Moany It's a granite look-a-like laminate. ;) It's just a normal bench top. You must be so proud of you son and I would be ready to burst with pride as well.

Musta That's fine. :D I copied them as well. I came across this blog (she has a lovely house) and saw them. She had a similiar layout kitchen to me. Cheap to make too. ;) as the material is inexpensive and doesn't need much at all. Cherry Hill Cottage...

I thought you were going out in the garden? You should read her recipes. I'd be the size of two trucks if I ate what she ate. And then you see her. Not fair. :D

    Hi Aussie and HJ

What a wonderful link - just been having a browse.

I think I haved made a wonderful discovery today at work. I think the laptops here are going to let me onto the Forums (they are on a different network to the pcs) Will check to see how this turns out once I post it.

Starting to sort out kitchen cupboards in preparation for 6th March. I am at the stage that I hate my old kitchen now but just hope I have chosen the right units etc for the new one.

Will catch up with you on the Daily Thread.

    GB xx

Edit: It is working!!!!!!!!!! Only problem now might be to explain why I am sitting with an iBook constantly in front of me instead of using the pc!

Can I just throw my kitchen into the pot please. I have been doing a lot of MS in it of late in that I have just finished painting all the previously dark oak doors and carcasses. Saved a fortune over replacing the kitchen or even just the doors.

It feels so lovely and bright now, though I do still need to cover up the nasty old boiler. Have acquired some more unit doors and am just painting those to cover it up with a false cupboard.

I am just dying to start doing lots of lovely home cooking it now.
Thank you for this site :jNow OH and I are both retired, MSE is a Godsend

Muppet, it's lovely, small, but perfectly formed just like me:rotfl:

Muppet81 your kitchen is lovely. It's similar to mine down to the floor tiles. I painted my tiles dark blue and have light blue paint above but want to change the tiles back to cream or at least a lighter colour.
You've done a great job painting those cupboards, very professional.

I managed to liberate a cillit bang spray bottle from the recycling container when I was there the other day, need another container for the vinegar & stardrops cocktail. At least with a purple bottle it won't look like a urine sample:rotfl:

Muppet, your kitchen may be small, but it's fresh looking and perfectly formed!
