So, i paid £120 a week, tax for 8 years, until january, does that class me as a layabout, or do i still ponce off you "working class"
im not saying no more on this, just read my previous post, becasue it is so different when its you who is kicked in the teeth!0 -
say i went to work for the minimum wage, i took home £170 a week after tax, my rent is £90 a week, that leaves me with £80, i then need to pay council tax, gas, electric, fuel for car, car tax, insurance, water rates, food, tv license, have i missed any?
now you tell me if you could survive on that???? NO YOU CANT!0 -
The people who get most annoyed about people on benefits are your Proletarians , its because they often work in the sort of jobs that long term job seekers would not wish to turn their hand to.
I lean more towards the petite bourgeoisie , a step above your proles ,unfortunatly it just so happens that currently jobs are hard to come by.
This is when the proles get upperty , they want to draw us down into their "Coke and a steak bake, thats £1.84 please love" lives.0 -

Thanks for the reply
Are you actually Walter Mitty? Do you peek round corners with a pistol made of fingers on your way to sign on?
You provide nothing but lame excuses, if your job (although it's not really your job anymore is it, you probably can't remember half of it) is so complex and beyond everyone else on the forum I'd expect that there must be some transferrable skills or that it would at least suggest you have the intelligence to understand, and pick up quickly, the basics (and beyond) of work in a completely different field. 18months is too long to still be digging your heels in and looking for only one type of job, if nothing has come up in that time then you should already have started looking elsewhere, even just as a stop gap. Every day you spend on JSA makes you less employable. If your industry picks up in a year who do you think an employer will want to employ, a specialist who signed on for a few months before retraining and filling the last 2 years by working in a different type of job or the guy that will ahve done absolutely nothing but sign on for 2 years?Bought, not Brought0 -
No Bamber, its VERY specialised , there are few transferable skills , and as for your other comments, I generally don't say that I am on the dole on my CV, I use a little artistic merit and say I am currently "freelance".
I am always one step ahead of the masses.0 -

Trouble, me?
This thread is not for the Benefits board. You know what your entitlement is, you know the rules surrounding New Deal. The thread is a discussion about the benefits system - this is not the place for such a thread.
Thank you please.Gone ... or have I?0 -

Thankyou for making your point in a clear way that anyone can understand without it being laboured further.0 -
I started reading this thread and feeling highly indignant of the excuses/rejoinders from Dr DingDongDing but more and more I am enjoying the entertainment .
Actually, I think I have discovered his true identity and the reason he cannot get a job ....he is a troll and therefore troll jobs are few and far between
I suggest we get up a subscription to send him back to the Land where the Bong Tree grows!0
