To anyone who applied for an issue 21. How long did it take to receive account documentation after applying?
They do say it can take up to 10 working days but I received application confirmation e-mail 24/04 and cheque deposit was taken from my current account at the same time.
I just want to hear of others' experiences before 'phoning them.0 -

I applied for that on 17th April I think, I had a certificate in my hand on 21st April.
The weird thing was my cheque was dated 22nd April (I was transferring money from another bank into halifax account in order to pay for this bond by cheque, so needed to future date the cheque).
The money went out of my account as expected on 24th April.0 -
I applied last week for the E22. I got the e mail acknowledgement of receipt of the application yesterday but no indication of when the cheque will be cashed.0

I applied for 2 seperate E22 bonds. To be honest I dallied a little over sending off the first pack, posting it just before the bank hol weekend. The second pack I posted on 4 May. Email confirmations were pretty instant. I have recieved both my certificates at the beginning of this week.
Can't really complain at all.
I applied online btw...It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0 -
I imagine you'd need to complete an R85.
Thanks.
No need to fill in the R85 when opening the AA 3.75% internet savings account.
Just tick a box during sign up and they pay you gross.
You then declare the gross interest on your Tax form. It's your money. Except if it's the governments.0 -

What bugs me about this account is that it can only be handled by phone or post - I like to be able to check it online, or at the end, go online or to a branch and get the money out without hassle.
(at least that's what I read, maybe I missed something?)Being brave is going after your dreams head on0 -

its a fixed term with no additions allowed and interest on maturity (or monthly for fatcats) so what's to check0 -
Posted my application + cheque on 7th May.
The dosh disappeared from my account on the 12th
Got an Email notification yesterday (13th)
Received the bond in post today (14th), dated from the 12th May.
Apart from the Email notification arriving out-of-sequence, I'm pretty impressed.0 -
