    Pity about the playoffs, though.

How can the 2nd City in England, which has only one footie team, remain in the third tier :(.

The best thing about West Brom's possible demise (footie and BS) is how

    Adrian Bailey MP

is going to react. Over the years I've grown sick of his regular but pointless eulogies in Parliament about both his local team and local building society.

As a Co-op MP he'll probably push for the taxpayer to give the Co-op/Britannia a huge sweetener to take over the BS.

Here's Adrian less than a month ago, wasting MPs' time as usual

"....There are 55 building societies, which have 23 million members and assets worth £360 billion—huge organisations of enormous significance and, notwithstanding one or two unfortunate examples such as the Dunfermline, with a record of durability that the proprietary sector simply cannot match. Yesterday, I attended the 160th anniversary of the West Bromwich building society, which is not untypical of these organisations and their history. Perhaps they were seen as anachronistic 20 years ago, but now they are not...."

1: Birmingham City got promoted to the premiership the other week. With Aston Villa, that makes two teams.
2: West Bromwich is not in Birmingham.

Other than that, an accurate summation. ;)

Frank Skinner and Adrian Chiles are down the pub trying to forget.....

By "one footie team" I hope you mean the VILLLLLLAAAAAAAA :rotfl:

PS I see West Bromwich was mentioned in the doomsday book of 1086 (according to wikipedia) - today must have been the day with the building society talk and the footie team!

And so did Leeds United. They didnt actually go bust, it was merely one of Papa Smurfs tax dodges. ;)
Didn't they go for a pre-pack (bust for the 15 seconds it takes for the ink to dry) and cop for -15 points - did have the smell of cod and haddock about it though...

I'd just decided to open one of these bonds and came on here to get the web link - can I still go ahead? Should I still go ahead?
