Hi everyone,
Penny Pincher, I hope you're feeling better today.
Essex-girl, sorry you're feeling a bit low. x
Hester, I too thought the lodger was a person until I read that she licked you and then I realised.
SunnyGirl, I'm glad your Mum and Dad are coming home. Have a safe journey.
Thanks for all the birthday wishes for ds2 on Tuesday. The weather brightened up and we made it to the mountains and were able to have the barbeque in sunshine. Ds had a great day and even had a swim in the river! Yesterday it was pouring all day so we had a day in the house and I managed to get quite a bit done. It's amazing how quickly the place gets messed up with everyone off on holiday, but it's worth it, I'm really enjoying the lack of routine this week.
Today is dry and bright but there's a cold wind so I'm doing a bit of work in the garden this morning and I want to make banana bread to use up some discoloured bananas then this afternoon Haribo and I our taking our own children plus our brother's three to a local country park. Having spent all day yesterday cooped up it will be good for them to get out in the air and let off some steam. All in all the Easter weather here has been very good...it's funny reading this thread and seeing how the weather differs in different parts of the country.
No idea what I'm making for tea, I'll need to go and poke around in the freezer.
I hope you're all having a good day.

Hi lovely OS peeps
Been MIA recently after a bumper easter weekend. Also been hanging around the House Buying boards to get some advice now that we are int0 the final stages of the 'Big Purchase'.
We are just about packed up now and i have introduced my OH to Stardrops which he is loving!! Got some Soapnuts in the post which I am yet to try out. They are strange things
Continuing on my quest to clear the food cupboards so no idea what I am having for tea later.
Caught up on all the ironing last night so have to vac-pac the rest of the linen. Got to sew a ripped pillowcase and that's about it for me. OH is offshore today, just hope he gets there ok. He may get back early this trip which would be good if not it's just me for the next fortnight.
Missed out on a lot of chat so will skim back over later but sunnygirl - glad your getting your Dad home, hugs to you!Spreading the gospel that is Martin Lewis to the future generation....I'm a Home Economics Teacher and being thrifty is the way!:A0 -

My bump seems to have grown overnight - none of my maternity tops cover my tummy  so will have a look on ebay for some super cheap bits to last me next couple months.
hope everyone has a lovely day0 -
Morning all........just.....((((((((((((((((((((((HUGS)))))))))))))) if you need one.
Stayed in bed till 10am today, very tired after the last 2 weeks frenetic scurry. Went on line to find out the blasted council had taken 4 weeks rent for the apartment despite me cancelling the direct debit. damn cheek.......I phoned up and the woman on the end of the phone told me that I had not cancelled the DD otherwise they would not have been able to collect it........oh yes I did and the bank agreed that it was cancelled when I went in......so the cash is back in my account. They told me we owed 2 weeks housing benefit because it was stopped, yes I know it was stopped, but sunshine you can whistle for it till next week and I'll send you a cheque...............the cash should show back in the account tomorrow morning.
Its a dull day here too, just about fits my mood!!!! very dark.
Supper cauli and broc gratin.........jacket spuds and baked tomato's........very OS. No cleaning today, tomorrow is tackle the lounge window morning and I am visiting a friend tomorrow afternoon.
OH ok so far this morning after 2 dizzy's yesterday.Was 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.0 -

Afternoon everyone
Its a wild and windy day here.We set out earlier to take the kids to Hollingworth Lake for a walk and a play on the park and in the arcades. But after two seconds after getting out of the car we called it off.My three year old was in danger of being blown into the lake and the poor little petal could hardly walk in the wind so no fun to be had:rolleyes:We came home and decided to stick to housebound activities today.Off to visit the dreaded MIL later and listen to her tale of woe and bitterness:mad:
BM will be going on later as will yoghurt maker.I managed to clean the decking yesterday so just the grass needs cutting if the weather stays dry.One load of washing is on the line and another in the machine and it will go out too weather permitting
Sunnygirl-With not reading the daily recently I assumed your dad would have been home by now but its great news that he's finally made it

Hi Doelani, I'm sorry for your loss. :grouphug:
Please try not to do too much too soon after losing your mum, you need time to grieve & the process can take more than just a few weeks.
Sounds like you often have your hands full though0 -

Afternoon all
" bedrooms done & 1 to go, I opened the door. looked in, shut the door & came away, I think I need another cuppa before I tackle that one.
The lodgers had a long walk & is not working her way through a dog chew, no doubt as soon as she finishes it she'll start snoring again.
DD has put of her visit til tomorrow as DGS is throwing up, he is desperate to see the lodger again.
I need to get the WM going again & make a cuppa, have a good afternoon everyone.
Hugs Hester
