Yes, he had a form about it. £100 isn't it. He will have to fill it in cause his MOT is up soon.:)

Cool.......:T, that will help with the car then.:T

I know Jamie has to insure his car for work reasons as well, but they pay a monthly allowance on top of the wage I think.

Think Jamie would have received a form if he were eligible for the back to work bonus, up to now he have not had one, so maybe it depends on a timescale on JSA perhaps then?? Cheers.;)

He just came home for his lunch now and to collect his SAT NAV, as he has a a few appointments to deal with this afternoon.

I asked him if he was actually under the scheme for future funds, he said no he is not a client, but adviser like them and he helps others and advises about jobs to help them back to work within the fund.

When he had the interview he asked them because he was confused on this himself but they said they needed someone as they have a vacancy where they think he fits the criteria, about 12 were interviewed on the same day for this actual job, they done this in alphabetical order his surname begins with "W" he was the last one to be interviewed and at the end of it they said he was more suitable and if he would like the opportunity to have that role with training also NVQ something like that.

He helped 3 this morning to start in a nursing home for next week.
Yesterday he was reviewing 23 year olds, and enjoyed it, got on well with them all, he has to sort out the finance side of it as well, like if anyone required boots, uniforms and things like that.
He has to take all the paperwork back to his office and send anything in regards of finance to the finance dept within the council.

Blimey your son been through it haven't he?
Glad you taken them to a tribunal, good for you.

Your right though, these funding schemes that have come in is probably to make it look good in employment figures etc.
Hope something good comes out of this now, fingers crossed.;)
Oh, I thought it was this one that is also a "funded" job

LSC / JCP ESF-funded Integrated Employment and Skills Provision
Routeways to work provision, Sustainable Employment Programme, various others

An offer of a job, training or meaningful activity for 18-24 year olds approaching 12 months unemployment
    • 2 - 8 week sector routeway (a job with training)
    • a job through Future Jobs Fund
    • 3 - 6 months Routes into Work full time training
    • a place on Community Task Force
    Or

    Young Person’s Guarantee
    ** From 10 months **
    Local Employment Partnerships - JCP

These could include some of the following:
    • Work trials for potential employees
    • Developing pre-employment training and offer work opportunities for people who complete that training
    • Reviewing recruitment processes to ensure that they don’t unnecessarily exclude anyone
    • Trying new ways to help people take up a job such as offering flexible working patterns
    • Giving current employees the chance to mentor people who want to return to work
    Or
    Work Trials - JCP
    • Provides employers with the opportunity to try out a potential employee for up to 30 days
    • At no cost to the employer, the customer remains on benefit for the duration
    • Suitable for most jobs over 16 hours a week that are expected to last at least 3 months

    They are all similar.

In fact just seen Connextions is for 13/19 year olds. Might get my daughter signed up now before its too late. After all she is 13....lol

    lol dan too........:rotfl:

    I'm getting confused now........:o:rotfl::D

Jamie has none of that on his contract, just the hours he works the title, the 28 days hols inclusive of bank hols, allowance paid on his car (maybe this is for tax reasons I don't know).
His pay and the rate will go up to a grading going rate by 3 months after probabtional training.

This woman had taken earlier retirement and he supposedly had her job.

there seems to be that many schemes coming now doesn't it?;)

  • I have to agree with Marshallka that these schemes are used to massage unemployment figures. We have had business mentoring in the past from local "schemes" and these have just been an exercise for local govt to tick boxes we havent actually gained any knowledge from the experience.

Lets hope more people are as proactive as you Marshallka. Proud of your efforts.

Just want to wish yours and Di's sons the best of wishes with their jobs.
    Love x

Yeah me too I totally agree, well my hubby was unemployed for over a year and lucky now he have found himself a new job, but even when he tried with things through the job centre, he was fobbed off with this and that, and I know there are some poor folks out there still looking, and backs are turned - sad!

Thank you hun, will get the mortgage on the straight and narrow soon, paid most of the arrears with the win from the FSCS but it did not cover it all, we will get there and maybe not so much harrassment now.;):j

  • So pleased you are catching up with mortgage what a bloomin relief, the harrassment is awful I know. I keep thinking at least with the ppi successes it is helping us all to move forward. :T

You are not going to believe it I've just had man from the job centre in offering a Work Trial programme. I havent seen anyone for years he didnt even know that there were so many businesses here, he said he has passed by for the last seven years. Surely the Job centre should know about the local economy and businesses to help people when they are looking for work. Aah well I guess he's ticked another box today.
