how wonderfull di, what good news at last. congrats to mr di!!
Thank you amersall;) with both my son and hubby back in work things will soon fall in into place at last.
My son works for the local council as a Mentor/Advisor, so there is also a lot of driving in this job, he visits clients and interviews them on updates on how they are doing, for peeps actually working for future job funds.:jXXXThe one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

My daughter is fine really but still on the iron as her levels (the iron has a little but hemaglobin has not gone as far as they would expect whatever that means) have not actually risen that much even with the pills so we are waiting for another appointment for some other tests. She keeps complaining of chest pain now so maybe have to make another appointment with the doc. She had it a few years ago at school and had to go to the docs straight from there but has been OK for a while but says its back again. I think we really need to get to the bottom of her bloods. Things are going on but no diagnosis other than they say this could be another type of aneamia.
My sis has been to another appointment but has to wait until mid march now to see the results. Everything will be back then but she is doing OK'ish but still losing the weight. Very confusing TBH.
I am fine other than worrying over them...
I really hope this gets sorted for your daughter and your sis soon.
Take care:A0 -
Great news Marshallka so chuffed for your son this will do him the power of good and hopefully being in a job will keep in work after the 6 months. Lets hope the news recently of coming out of the recession is true, I know we are always slower at getting out of it here in the North but praying that everyones fortunes will change quickly. Life is one big rollercoaster if only we could relax and enjoy the ride:D0

This is what we were confused with Marshallka, he is actually employed by the local council to work for Future funds as a Mentor, so he deals with people to get jobs within future funds, at first we thought it was he was to be employed by future funds, yes he is perm, but on a what you call a probation period.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

They told my son the probabtional period is for 3 months as they need someone to do the job, if he gets on well then the job is his.
He goes round to check and interview the ones working under future jobs fund, so a lot of driving involved, he had to interview 3 yesterday morning to find out how they are getting on and 2 in the afternoon, its the first week for him to be on his own lol, he loved it though and has his own office with the other staff at the council.:);)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

His mate is employed by the same firm that are employing my son and he is also a mentor for special needs BUT he actually has no exams himself. He told my son yesterday that he would be handing out NVQ2's in gardening to some of these special needs. I told my son to take that one with a pinch of salt as he is only a 6 month worker himself with less exams and qualifications than my son so he must be "upping" himself a bit I think. This "mentor" thing is going round quite a bit. I thought to be a mentor you would have had to have completed teaching yourself...???
His title is Adviser/Mentor for the unemployed, he had 2 weeks training with another staff member showing how to interview others etc, the last 2 days last week they had to watch Jamie do it to see how he got on on his own interviewing, so he have been given all the clipboards where the clients sign after they been interviewed then he is signed as adviser after they sign.
He is on a training grade of £200 a week at the moment then after 3 months it goes up if they are happy to keep him on. Fingers crossed.
Hope all goes well for your son Marshallka.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
