Thank goodness, we’ve finally got a thaw on here. :j :j :j
That was one of the reasons had to go into hospital, nurses or oxygen delivery couldn’t get through estate to me.
Doctors don’t give credit for wee Gerry’s persuasive charms though, I foned the road grit team at 7pm told them I had to go into hospital if oxygen delivery couldn’t get through. God love them they were here at 3am gritting the place. :T :T :T
Unfortunately their great efforts didn’t do me any good though, bloody doc’s still captured me…

Bless you Gerry, you've been through it haven't you.
, but your always smiling and keeping us all happy on here, so thank you for that.:T
Hope your feeling better Gerry, thinking of you, and loads of ((((hugs)))) coming your way.:kisses3:.
Hubby just been in the garden with a tape measure, top end of 17 inches....... of snow.
It have calmed down again though, thank goodness, although we won't be able to see dad today as they blocked one of the roads heading that way. XX
Here’s a wee ploy for you scallywag…
Before I went into hozie, I took a few bags of grit over to the auld neighbours in my wee wheelbarrow, came back with the wheelbarrow full of biscuits, cakes and chocolates loads of goodies. :j :j:j
Worked a Treat. Ha ha…..:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:0 -

Yeah they were fantastic.
I was so grateful to them for their efforts, I could have cried i was so
emotional :A I emailed their depot to thank them and copied local MP in on email.
For them to come out at 3am was a brilliant service. :T:T0 -
marshallka wrote: »Its similar here in the drifts. My hubby was late for work first time this morning and I have rang him about the snow here now (he already works in the sticks) and he cannot finish early. They will not let them so I expect its going to be a late home for him.
Its bad isn't it?
And with the drifting that is what made it all worse.
When it started yesterday, I text Jamie to let him know, he was at Snooker with his mate, and of course all windows are almost ceiling level, he did not get my text until 2 hours after, his signal went down.
Anyway when he did get back to me, he said it was mad, and he had to drop of one of his mates as well who lives a few miles away from here, it taken him longer obviously, he said he was okay going uphill but luckily coming back down there were no other cars on the road, and just as well, even though he kept it in first, he slid and almost went into a wall......, he managed to square up, but where it would have only taken about 20 mins, it taken him over an hour to get back.
Then there was a build of work traffic for workers on the way home from yesterday, it taken them about 6 hours.......
Good luck to your hubby Marshallka.;)XXThe one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

I think its bad weather everywhere isn't it but still would rather have this snow than the earth quake in Haiti. Such a tragic happening.I remember when it happened in Cuba a couple of years ago. My mum and sister have so many friends over there from their holidays. I think we (Britain that is) actually will send aid to Haiti but we would not to Cuba.
I know my mum was forever posting things over there and even had people (which she hardly knew) taking things over for the poor people there. I had to tell her to stop asking on "trip" for anyone travelling over there to take things.

It is quite tragic that this has happened it is so unfair and tragic. I went on holiday to CUBA about 4 years ago in guadalavaca which means feeding the cow
The locals were wonderful but had a nasty accident. It was all inclusive hodiday which included all the water sports. Went out on a catamaran and it tipped over about a mile out in the sea was terrifying did not think I would ever put feet on dry land again. Since then I will not go out in the sea. I loved the island and it was one beautiful holiday.:mad:0
