    Still having problems in OZ

Melbourne has suffered its hottest night since 1902 as a heat wave grips southern Australia. While much of the northern hemisphere is suffering from unusually cold conditions, night-time temperatures in Melbourne have reached 34C (93F).
The situation was made worse as air conditioning shut down when power cuts hit homes. Electricity companies said transformers had failed in the heat.
Many residents chose to spend the night on the beach.
Temperatures were expected to rise to 40C (104F) on Tuesday, before becoming cooler.

Wow, imagine trying to sleep in 34 degrees with no aircon:eek:

  • Hi everyone,

Weather not too bad here at the moment, but it is really dark outside. Shower has been playing up (would not get warm) but tried it this morning and it was fine.

It was lovely to have a hot shower instead of having to fill the bath

Hope you all have a good day

    Good morning all

Thank you for all your kind words for Jamie.

Still snowing has not stopped since yesterday evening, although thining out not, its well over a foot of it.
All schools closed apart from the ones who have exams who can go home afterwards.

No traffic on roads or hardly on main routes due to lack of grit until end of the week.
Only the odd 4x4 used by mainly police.

Hope your all having a good morning.;) XXX
