I know maxdp. You have hit !!!! as well. We are all in the !!!! but i will fight for this as long as I have a hole in my !!!. I worked out the EXACT amount of my PPI back and I have done this over and over for FOS and they cannot disagree in any which way at all. I only want the rebate fair really which was one thing they could look into as they said and although this would only be a couple of grand i would be happy with that.

Just have to hope they get back tomorrow now but shall not hold my breathe. I have calmed now a bit but it is frustrating. I have not let anyone use the phone all day:eek:.

Half the time when they do redress they don't redress correct amounts and get away with yet again doing you out of money.

I must admit co-op were spot on to the penny though. They have also been excellent since and have not treated us any differently. We have needed them too just lately with the dog too.

Good luck with yours maxdp. If no-one complained enough they would be allowed to get away with it forever but it does take lots of peeps to do it.

Yes they do just enough to butter people up and not enough to settle completely. You will get there in the end. Just have to plod away.

Just read this from 2001 on Carol Vordeman and Firstplus

Agencies that represent the stars are understandably defensive about their clients' involvement. Vorderman's agent, John Miles, says: 'Carol would never do an advert just for the money. We turn down 99% of all offers - many offering substantially more than she is currently being paid.
'With regard to FirstPlus, Carol does not have a loan, (I don't think anyone would on £250K a year from an advert alone) but she researched the product thoroughly before signing up.
'She has a high profile and for her to back a financial product she must believe in it (comments now Carol:whistle: )and be certain that in her view the company and its products are good enough to endorse. (shocked)
However, things do not always go smoothly. Miranda Watson of consumer magazine Which? says: 'We have just investigated a complaint (blimey - i thought there was a typo mistake there and they had missed the "s" off) about FirstPlus and our findings are due to be published in our July issue.(remember this was in 2001 so god knows what she would be saying now) 'In the case in question, the person was drawn to the company because of the celebrity endorsement of Carol Vorderman.' Watson would not comment further.

Darren Grundy, a director of Manchester-based advertising agency Media Independent, says top names such as Vorderman can command £250,000 a year for TV adverts.

Thats where some of our PPI profits went

Yes your probably right there Marshallka.

I was just checking her out on Wiki as well, she is supposed to be one of the highest paid women in Britain .........here....

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carol_Vorderman

And one of her comments here.......

The secured loans market was criticised and it was pertinent to pick me out, because I was a face. I advertised FirstPlus for 10 years. We had something like £1.5billion out on loan and until a matter of months ago there were no repossessions. When that programme [BBC's Real Story] was made, [there were] no repossessions. Did they say that? Funnily enough, no." [13

Keeping busy for today and not holding much hope as I think they will just keep saying (even if I do speak to them) we need more time. It is so frustrating cause my daughter said to me "last summer school hols you were the same and your mind was elsewhere even when we were enjoying ourselves". Its so sad to hear that but what can I do. You only have a certain amount of time (although you do in having the pleasure of the kids too!!) and my using the courts now was over in March but I had submitted this complaint near on 12 months prior. Last school hols was in April and we walked all over the commons with the dog to save money and it ended up costing more than a holiday abroad:confused:. I just cannot win sometimes.

Hope you all get all yours sorted quicker than mine. I am sure they will be.;)

    Hi Marshallka.;)

Yes I agree it's best to keep busy.

And of course with the school holidays here as well, that will help with the kids taking your mind off it.
Although I am still annoyed for you here, it's just so wrong isn't it?
All you want is one simple answer, it's not a lot to ask.
It's one h*ll of a wait just to know if they are going to look at this or not and not fair either!

Hope your dog is okay as well.;)
