I don't believe it now the hoover has just gone BANG, so I will have to go and get another one. Will have to wait till tonight cause hubby has got the car.
It all happens at once doesn't it showergirl. I can't wait until Tuesday but from talks with the manager its nothing concrete. I cannot understand cause I thought the rebates were things that the ombudsman could look into and my rebate was 2003 when Firstplus were members of GISC but had to put the complaint to the insurer as the FOS told me to do that as the insurer determines the rebate calculation.:confused:

Lets hope its good news but sounds a bit more like bad. I know you should not but I have been sort of banking on this money. Had quite a few unexpected things happen just lately and my dog is ill again. He has now done the other eye but it was clearing until this morning when he could not open it at all. Making another appointment but its so hard for hubby to get the day off work to take him and I cannot do it as cannot hold him as he is very aggressive (fearful) but until today he looked fine but the ulcer is still there and irritating. I said to my hubby that this is all punishment for money chasing. We never had these probs before :confused:and I genuinely believe in these things. Makes me wonder if its all worth it. They say its the root of all evil don't they. I know my dog is not a priority (in the eyes of FOS etc) cause we have other priorities but I cannot let him suffer. I can't remember telling FOS about it but I did ring some weeks ago and when I said about money troubles she said to me "your dog as well". I really have not mentioned this to them or must have been asleep when I did but I mentioned that we had to cancel the insurance cause of money etc (right or wrong although we have now taken it out again and have had to cut back on other things) so this is where just PPI back is sometimes not enough. They should pay out damages too.:D

Hope you can get a hoover asap. I am sure it will be ok for another day. Have a relax instead and get your feet up. You have sounded like you deserve one just of late.

    Hi Marshallka

Sorry to hear about your dog.

You are really not having much luck lately. I understand what you say about not relying on getting your money back. But when you have bills coming in and the cost of living going up and then the unexpected things like vet bills it is hard not to think "well if I got this money back".

And why should we not think like that afterall it is money we have paid out.

It is just so annoying of what we have to go through to get it back. My friend could really do with her ppi back from A&L and even I have got annoyed at the way they are going on especially as they have been fined. Although I think this was for loans and not credit cards.

Your dog is important to you as all are pets are, and when they are ill they do become a priority as we do not like to see them suffer.

I really hope things work out for you

I have faith in her getting it from A and L. I said that my mums was one of the ones that they wrote to her and she had no idea of having it but got her money within a few weeks of them getting in touch. I think they seem to be dealing with these cases first and i bet they have so many.

Its good for her to have someone like yourself that knows the ropes too. I;)

When we rang yesterday they had passed it on to a caseworker and they told her they would get back to her next week.
She is building her hopes up on getting this money back and I have to keep telling her that we will have to wait and see.
I have got a feeling this will have to go to the FOS but maybe I am wrong

Well I'm off to do the ironing.
