Very odd that their week ends on a Wednesday, but I can't help think that even it does they must have been looking at data from the week before. As very often occurs, news articles are already out of date by the time they get published.

According to other media sources the EPFR Global figures are also shown as being for the 'week' up to the 7th July. The initial report on the figures for that 'week' was on Reuters today.

I agree, it still seems strange to call any 7 days a week, but one dictionary definition is "a period of seven successive days that begins with or includes an indicated day."

It depends on the definition of strength. The volume traded on SPY today appears to be about half the normal size or at least the lowest in recent history that I can see

Also VIX appears primed for greater volatility next week.

The net effect of the last two weeks has been zero and velocity since the end of May has us seemingly hunting our own tracks

Apart from that it did appear to end very positive but it really needs confirmation. FTSE should be positive on Monday I guess - futures price is 5168 with 5080 support and 5194 as a ceiling.
I sold my Lloyds today at the 200 day average price of near 62p. I did have a near term target of 67p but there is alot of reason for doubt still I think

You don't need much volume when the bears are nowhere to be found. :D China was a bit slow on the uptake this week and had it's biggest rally today. I can see Asia continuing the run into next week.

Good call but I still dont think this correction is over yet. The fact we went below 4952 so much is more significant and I could believe it was an actual (new) baseline if the volume was really high

Recently we've seen in america but also here I think that volume is lower or half even on rises and when the market sells off its average or way above which confirms that side much more

The FTSE contains alot of commodity and oil companies now, in the long run that might be for the best but its making it really volatile.

We have a strengthening pound now also which is basically one half of any FTSE estimation

I've come to realise that I don't care if share prices go up or down. If they go up my existing investments are worth more, if they go down future investments will be cheaper.
