    Hi naefags

Just posted a quick update on your thread. I'm still here, just feeling a bit poorly.

Music magpie cheque has not arrived so following that up today. OH is in a selling frenzy which is brilliant and another £20 came in last night. It made me feel so guilty for frittering money on that cake and other little bits I really didn't need. Will try harder from now!

Matched betting is a lost cause for me right now so I've withdrawn all the cash, £45 or so from the account and plan to use it to pay off the overdraft. I now have no matched betting pot which is not ideal, I know, but really there's no point in it just sitting there when I'm paying interest on my debt. Maybe I'll borrow money from our budget to do the bets and pay it back plus extra before the bills are due.

I'm not on target to clear the overdraft this month but it will definitely get paid off at the start of next month so that's quite exciting for me. I need to get back in the mood though cos I can hardly bear thinking about it all at the moment.

Anyway, I'm keeping on plugging away. Would love my total to be below £8k at the start of next month but we'll see.

    Good luck everyone.

  • Music magpie cheque finally arrived so it's going in the bank today along with a very late payment from a client.

I'm eBaying like a mad thing at the moment and pretty much everything that is postable will be getting sold. OH is a complete hoarder but currently in the mood for decluttering so I'm going to grab the opportunity to get rid and try to make some cash.

Nothing else new or exciting happening I'm afraid. I thought spring was arriving but woke up this morning to the coldest day in a week or so. I can't wait for better weather to arrive.

Anyway, I'm keeping on plodding on over here and the debt is going down so I must be doing something right.

  • Hi naefags

The thought of lying on a beach somewhere, all paid for with hard cash, is just brilliant. How you doing now? Feeling better yourself? I'm away to do my monthly summary then I'll jump over to your thread.

  • So, under month of debt-busting under my belt and my total is still moving in the right direction.

    February 2010
    • Paid off £250.80. I missed my target but I'm still quite pleased with this.
    • Ebay didn't go too well. Only sold 2 of 10 items I had listed but it's much better than nothing.
    • DFW valentine's day was lovely. Homemade cards, small but thoughtful presents and a whole day with OH just enjoying each others' company.
    • Overspent on electricity due to carp cold weather.
    March 2010
    • Pay off £200 in debt and finally get rid of that overdraft. That's quite an exciting thought.
    • Plan a cheap mother's day for me and OH's mums. We've been picking up cheap presents with our monthly shop so just need to think about what to do...a meal at home maybe?
    • I'm seriously pondering getting an extra part-time job. It can't hurt for 6 months or so and if I'm too stressed out I could always quit.
So these are the goals. Onwards to another month of debt reduction. :T

  • I also wanted to be under £8k this month which didn't happen but will definitely happen next month. Yey! :j

I've also noticed I haven't been on this site much in Feb. Wonder if that's why I didn't quite meet my target? Need to visit here more often...
