I gave the back patio and front flower beds a good tidy yesterday. It's funny how the more you do, the more seems to need doing. My raised beds are in a shambles, there are leaves everywhere and I keep noticing my attempt at painting the house during the summer only got half done. Hmnnn. Need to finish it this year.
I'm struggling to keep track of money again. There's too much going in and out of our account this month and I really can't follow it all. I can't wait 'til January is over. This cold fog we have today is horrible. We also had a freeze again last night. Left my running tights on the line by mistake yesterday and they're now standing up on their own. Don't seem to have suffered for it though.
I would really like to cycle to our local town today, just to prove that I can and so I can do thins like banking without using the car. However, it's cold and foggy so not sure this is the best day to try it out. Definitely on the agenda of things that need doing/ways to cut back.Debt @ Dec 2009 £10,026.05

Foggy here too and the frost last night was a hard one. Blooming freezing this morning and the roads were bad. Even the horses were skating about as I threw them in their field.

Your poor horses lucielle, I hope they're ok and managing in this crazy cold weather. I've heard the snow's coming back tonight. I plan to park well away from our cottage when I get back from work. I don't want to risk getting snowed in again.
Debt-wise, nothing much to report. Had a false alarm with a rebate from scottish gas that turned out to not be a rebate. OH forgot to do the scratchcards yesterday and worried about it, which was really endearing. I don't expect it'll be the only time. I bought a £5 jar of coffee 'cos I forgot for one second that we're trying to be frugal.
Is it just me or is January lasting forever? I want to do my end of the month summary and update sig.
Good luck with debt-busting everyone. LCxDebt @ Dec 2009 £10,026.05

I just signed up for another mystery shop. That's £22.50 arriving at the start of Feb to kick start the debt busting for that month.

I've been sitting working out what my end of the month stats will be instead of getting on with the debt busting. There's still a week of January left and I could achieve a lot in that time.
Despite a small panic about next month's bills, it seems there should be enough cash coming in to cover them and pay minimum on debts. So it's all good.
I need to get back onto matched betting (I keep saying it but this time I really do) to get some extra. OH is addicted to scratchcards and doing brilliantly at remembering them every day. I'm checking my email for mystery shops every day. It's all becoming routine now so easier to remember.
I've got a small amount of cash left from this month. Not sure whether to put it towards debt, put it in matched betting pot or put it in my 'save a month's wage' fund. Maybe a small amount in each?Debt @ Dec 2009 £10,026.05

I'm having a little fantasy of how great it will be to not have debts to pay every month. To not have to juggle money around to make sure I don't get charged and to not freak out when I think about how much interest I'm paying.
What a luxury. I can't believe I never used to care about it. I always used to think it would just miraculously get paid off some day with minimum effort from me. Was I mad? So glad I woke up.Debt @ Dec 2009 £10,026.05

Just tried to do a qualifying bet and the site wouldn't accept my card. Now I'm remembering why I stopped matched betting for a while...hassle with my carp bank. Plus, very few sites are doing £10 bets any more. It's £25 bets everywhere which is all well and good until you need to find £130-ish to lay the free bet. Maybe I need to put all of my extra cash in the matched betting pot?
I've set myself a mini-challenge. Next month all the debt-busting will be aimed at my overdraft. I'm wondering if I could somehow get it paid off before the end of January? £400 in 6 days? I'm going to give it a go.Debt @ Dec 2009 £10,026.05

Was just quoted £4.40 for a couple of old cds on music magpie. I couldn't complete the sale due to their 'high volume of traffic' (at 5.30am?) but will do it later along with every other cd I can find of OHs.
Only £395.60 left to find. :rotfl:Debt @ Dec 2009 £10,026.05
