Hi naefags. :hello: My star is here and I'm guarding it with my life. Maybe I can sell it on eBay for a couple of quid?
I hope the car sale happens too. I have to drive it across the city with no road tax and no MOT (actually, OH will be driving and I'll be following in car 1...can't risk me losing my license) but it won't happen with a brake stuck on.
I'll be so happy to see it go. Can't wait.

Thanks Lou. That car has now cost me £20 for new jump leads which were not in the budget so it needs to be sold now.
I had a non-eventful mystery shop yesterday and started work with a new client.
Overspent by £35 on the shopping. Will reimburse from the car sale.
I'm on target to clear a good chunk of debt this month so am pleased with that. I'm also still off the fags (3 weeks) and have lost 5lb of the 21lbs I'm trying to lose. So everything's cheery.

Well, after much messing around in the rain, pulling off wheels and banging brake drums with a hammer, I got the car moving. The battery is totally gone cos it was off road for so long so did not hold it's charge on the way there. Consequently got much less for it than I had hoped but at least it's not costing me money any more. No MOT no insurance no knackered car sitting at the front rusting away. Brill. OH needs to be able to take responsibility for a car before we will ever be a 2 car household again. And that probably won't happen any time soon.
So, I'm returning the jump leads to tesco to get my £20 back. Is that cheeky?
My car insurance is due in April. I've never paid for my insurance outright, always on DD, so I've decided to try and save up for it. I have 3 wages til its due and it should be around £200 so it's manageable.
I've spent some of my christmas money. £13.75 for a new jumper and a long-sleeved t-shirt. I'm very pleased. It's a long time since I had any new clothes and I'm determined not to pay bills with my christmas money.Debt @ Dec 2009 £10,026.05

Me and OH went on a DF date last night. We went to the cinema and smuggled in our own sweets and drinks, which saved a fortune. We usually spend about £25 at the cinema but only spent £11. The movie made me cry. Don't go and see 'the Road' anyone unless you have loads of tissues.
I'd love to ski this week now that we can get the car out but I'm worried about cost and also, is there any snow left on the hills? I'll need to find out.
I also need to get into matched betting again. Good earner but feels like a chore sometimes.
I've got a meeting about some more work this week. It just keeps coming...brilliant. I'm quite happy to be busy though. Tha faster the debts are paid off the better.Debt @ Dec 2009 £10,026.05

After I paid off the nasty CC they added £12.14 in interest. Cheeky devils. So I've paid that from the car 2 cash and now that card is well and truly dead. :j:j:jDebt @ Dec 2009 £10,026.05

Today the sun is shining and from indoors it's looks like a spring day...lovely. However, now that the snow is gone our large garden has been exposed as a right old mess. There is rotten fruit all over the orchard (I thought the deer had eaten it all but no), bags of cat litter mounting at the back door (soaked through with rain and weighing a ton) and leaves and assorted rubbish that OH likes to save (bike tyres, cardboard boxes, all sorts of stuff) lying all over the place. It could be a good day to get out there and start trying to sort it all out and make some plans for next growing season.
I've made my list of seeds and am now thinking if I start buying this month, I could add £3-4 to the monthly shop and hardly even notice the extra expense.
Also, our study is looking shabby and needs decorating after we had a leak in the roof last year. I'm sure we have a tin of white paint in a shed somewhere. I need to brave spider hell to try and find it.
Doesn't everything seem better when the sun comes out? I love it.
