Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe you have to wait 6 months before you reapply for the same card, otherwise they'll instantly decline you.

Can anyone confirm this? A Halifax employee told me 3 months. (He did seam dim so...)

6 months for all halifax accounts
Since when has the world of computer software design been about what people want? This is a simple question of evolution. The day is quickly coming when every knee will bow down to a silicon fist, and you will all beg your binary gods for mercy.

    Time for an update!

Well not heard anything from Capital One as yet and that has been some time, But I guess RM strike will delay it more.

    Always next week

I am away to sit back on my comfy seat

I have taken what you said onboard :)

But had to update the thread

Equifax - Letter back from them dated XXXX - They have removed the default for the time being.

ICO - Letter back dated XXX - Stating they have now started to investigate my complaint and will deal with it.... :)

Capital One - NO letter back from them as yet!

Well well well - now you know what to do, apply for anything you need NOW while the default is off :p

Obviously let me know when Cap 1 etc reply, but as I stated in previous posts, ignore things from Cap1 and let the ICO/FSA deal from hereonin - its not for you to chase them, let them dig their own hole (being they clearly ignore your repeated questions/points).....

We're getting you there mate - slowly but surely :D

Vanquis state 6mth before reapplying as well, however they sometimes don't auto decline you, especially if your credit file is ok

(I applied in Oct 08 and got declined then reapplied Feb 09 and got accepted.... ;))

Hey change of subject, how lenient are Redcats normally? I just checked my Equifax (which is what they search) and all that is showing is two satisfied defaults at an old address - no BR order or other defaults atall.

Only things at current address are five active accounts, three being bank accounts two being credit cards. All upto date no history of arrears...

... Interesting that I can only see one address back on Equifax, and all of my addresses on Experian. No wonder Experian is more popular with creditors!

    Ok, so read here: http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=1033817

Select the CRA's that exclusively use Equifax, such as Barclaycard...... (or Capital One - ironically enough haha - joke)...
