Thanks so much

I will get it all together and post it to them again

Its getting tedious, but you can see you;re in control here - do you have his last letter where you said 'I claim these charges' he replied with 'i'll offer £96' you then accepted? So where, in any of it, did it mention it would go on the debt?

My next argument is how can he prove the £96 charges are specifically linked to the amount outstanding; surely you paid money back to the debt so who's to say this last payment you made wasn;t for the charges? See my point, its impossible for them to break it down in such a way lol....

He's being a smart arsey but we see right through it - to me he's a noooob!

Yep, nowhere in there does it mention about it being applied to the debt - does it? lol

Ahh, missed this bit in there
I’ve reviewed the account and, as a matter of goodwill, I’d like to reduce the default sums we’ve added to £12 each. This amount totals £96. If you’d like to accept this offer, please sign and return the settlement form I’ve included. Once I get it back I’ll add these refunds to your account.
Why should I accept £96? and how can they put it to my account when I do not have a card with them now. The account was included in my TD and I am now discharged. So does that not mean the account is cleared? Oh and no settlement form enclosed
Where is your reply to this letter? I would have refused the adding of them to the accounts, or I missed it mate? Actually, I think I mentioned that you'd not sign the settlement form - either way don't! lol

I aint signed anything either

Lets make no mistake here, you are doing nothing as a gesture of goodwill but realise if I pursue this matter you will also get fined, as appropriate, and so you're backing down because you realise you simply have to. Similarly, I’d love to know how you plan on applying the refund onto the account which, as we both say is closed and buried. It cannot happen; any refund would by right be in the form a cheque made payable to me and sent to my home address. Paying it into any account will render the whole reclaim process fruitless and you are no exception to the rule.
