It seams that my current account with Halifax has been updated with a higher guaranteed overdraft ..

    Your current overdraft limit is:
    £100.00

Guaranteed overdraft available now up to:
    £5,000.00

Should i apply for the full 5k?
How long did it take for you to get to this stage?
I have a £100 O/D with HBOS and I have banked with them for just over 1 year.
Since when has the world of computer software design been about what people want? This is a simple question of evolution. The day is quickly coming when every knee will bow down to a silicon fist, and you will all beg your binary gods for mercy.

Haha - go spend the £5k then matey! Thats just madness - be careful though cos it changes all the time, you may notice the guaranteed drops to £1000 or something, if that happens don't apply that level or you'll drop to it lol.....

Its always best to apply the maximum guaranteed o/d but just don't use it - do this for about 2 months and apply for their credit card for almost guaranteed acceptance mate - especially with a £5k o/d on your bank account.

    Well done :T

Hah! Don't tempt me, seeing the 'available balance' sky rocket like that almost made me fall off my seat.

What i don't understand is they give an OD of 5k, however reject my CC application?!

What you said makes me soooo happy! :j

*Firmly grips the first rung of the ladder*.

Thanks for all the advice NID.

LOL, I dunno mate - what date did we put on the letter? i.e. did we give 30 days? I'd have thought 30 would be the best option (legally enough time to produce documents)...... i'd say end of August then - cool.... can't wait!

You just know they gonna give in don't you mate? LOL (I wish!)

The N-i-D Maester has another little trick up his sleeve to prompt them into a fast slow painless submission but it does mean spending £80 which will repaid along with other charges - basically issue claim for enforcement. Thats like nuking their anus mate!
