What happens after 3 years then? Just a decline, that doesn't make much sense to me.

No mate, it depends what the lender has pre-loaded into their factoring for decisions mate. i.e. some may decline after 3yrs, some may go though but before 3yrs then most will decline....

I have applied for a Barclay Credit card! My credit is not bad after having a fight with CRA's I have had two defaults removed. Only problem I see is my Trust Deed is showing as settled one CRA and other two is been removed.

I was just checking the credit report sites and experian (and I'm assuming the other two) want my addresses for the past 6 years. However, I only moved to the UK 4.5 years ago, prior to that I lived in the US what should I enter. Is there an overseas option?

    Hi

No you'll just leave them blank and then have to send in proof or something..... best to actually submit it with the data you can putting XXXXX in empty spaces - they will soon get back to you.

Maybe better to apply paper way for first time, i.e. £2 statutory report.

Maybe just say you have been at your current address for 6 years?

That would be fraudulent though, wouldn't it?

I would class it as bending the truth, reason being is it is not a credit application just a request to view data held about yourself.

There is no chance of cifas is there?

Maybe the OP should go the long route and correctly enter the correct address however it seems very long winded to me
