Having lurked for a while I thought I should sign up to thank all you regular contributors. I have already thanked honey for the first post and will get round to thanking you all individually. I am very much a couponing novice, but i've managed to track down two tescos that seem happy to take my coupons out of my clutches. It does get the old ticker going waiting in the queue! Only been 'trouted' the once so far. Saved £9 off a £35 shop yesterday and £5 off a £15 shop today. Think that should see me through the week.

Thanks also to whoever mentioned till spits in the thread. I ticked the box on my accout and have now started getting them. I got a £1 off when you spend £5 on frozen food. It starts with a 99 barcode. Does this mean I can use it and not spend the £5?

Now if that doesn't make everyone laugh out loud then nothing will!! How good a name is that? Fantastic....

My Grandfather had a dog named U- no so whenever someone asked him what was his dog's name, he answered U-no.:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I went to tesco yesterday with my daughter and she insisted on sitting in one of those car trolleys which are extremely long and you can't see the front. I was pushing it along and I hadn't even got in the shop when I bumped the front into a metal post (just outside the entrance where all the trolleys are kept) but the trolley jumped back into my stomach and I let out a big errggghhh, everone looked at me by which point I was trying to act cool but had winded myself, thought I had better see how my daughter was but when I went to speak to her I couldn't (she was fine by the way), felt great pain but casually walked into tesco (really wanting to cry). The pain went off after a minute or so but it didn't half hurt, then after that I went into the back of 2 people and felt quite embarrassed. Won't be having one of those again. Kids hey!!!!! :o

You poor thing! I nominate you for a Purple Heart of Couponers' medal too!! Hope you are feeling better now.:p

With Tesco's own coupons; i.e. from till spits, clubcard coupons, Tesco magazine; it's nearly always the case that you do have to buy the actual product or meet the threashold £.
There are rare exceptions like those Fairy ones people had, but as a general rule the tills tend to beep nastily and say 'Customer hasn't met the required spend' if you try these type of Tesco own coupons without buying what they want you to, unfortunately.

Thanks to everyone who has tried to help m today with Tesco Direct code especially Judy2357. After trawling round the internet, finally found a combi m/w for £100 from argos. Went there first on sat, but didn't have a decent size I wanted cheap, but managed to find one I want that isn't in catalogue but is in store, so back to cooking tomorrow.
Now to even better news::j was going a couple of miles away from a T extra that I haven't been to for over a year cos there coupon policy was no coupons at all so avoided, but decided to ring up to ask their policy, as advised by VC on previous thread. I said "can you tell me what your coupon policy is please, is it the same as the national policy where I can use as many as I want against my shop without buying the goods as long as they are not duplicated" Yes she said, as long as it is not a case of you give more than you spend, we don't give money back on them, but it might flag up if somebody came in day after day with lots of coupons and didn't spend anything." "so for instance if I spent £20 and gave £15 worth of coupons that would be ok. Yes she said. :j I then asked her name but she wouldn't give it saying I prefer not to cos I don't know who you are and dont like giving my name out. Didn't matter too much cos was so excited, at last a coupon friendly big store not too far away. Will make sure I save all my big ones and do a big shop there every couple of weeks. So giddy, only problem was it shut at 6 so can't go today.:rotfl:

ps Thanks to coupon mad (I think it was you sorry if quoting and wasn't) who advised on previous thread not to ask what their policy was but to say is it same as national policy etc.

Nice one!! Good for you!!! I would like one of the stores near me to change their policy back. I was hoping they would have by now after having a decrease in trade (I haven't shopped there in months and I know of 7 other people that stopped shopping there too because the coupon policy changed and the staff got really nasty:eek:)!

Welcome to the forum :hello:! Very nice to meet you! If you get a till spit you must abide by what it says on the coupon so you would have to spend £5 on frozen food to get the £1 off. Surely you could spend a fiver on frozen veg, that's what I would spend it on anyway.

Hi sher60 thanks for the welcome. Log into your account on clubcard, go to my contact preferences, make sure the boxes are UNTICKED (sorry for the confusion) and click confirm. Read this on a thread on here somewhere and since doing this i've started getting them. Yep no probs spending on £5 on freezer stuff, just wanted to confirm
