Tripod's a brilliant name (along with "Legless" or "Hopalong"). Dogs have quite a sophisticated sense of humour, so I'm sure he sees the funny side.
I had an interesting visit to T's yesterday. There were HUGE banners draped all around the Tesco car park saying that they would take Waitrose's "money off total spend" vouchers (there's a new branch of Waitrose about to open nearby). When I got to the checkout, the SA smilingly asked me if I had any MOCs at all which I cared to use, plus the till dealt me another "£4 off a £20 spend" plus "75p off frozen food" till spits. The SA smilingly said that T was worried about losing business to Waitrose, and were falling over themselves to keep their customersAmazing what a bit of healthy competition can do.

I wish your store's manager would talk to the manager at my local Tesco then. Despite the fact that Morrisons will be opening 2 minutes away from them in a few weeks, they have tightened their moc policy again
You can now use no more than 5 NSS mocs even if you are buying all the correct products. This strikes me as shooting themselves in the foot, seeing as Morrisons accept mocs for the correct items. You would think Tesco would be doing their best to hold on to customers with a rival opening up so nearby, but obviously they must want to help Morrisons build up custom.
With a bit of luck I may even be able to use printable mocs again once Morrisons open.So your answer don’t be scared of failure
For the only failure is never to try

Sounds like the Tesco know something about some conditional spend vouchers that new Waitrose stores perhaps tend to give out...? Make a note in your diary, C J, to visit that new Waitrose on the first day it opens and keep your eyes peeled for vouchers & leaflets...;)
If anyone ever has a new largish Sainsburys opening near them - or an old one closing for a refit - don't miss the nice vouchers Sainsburys issue for such an event. On the last day of trading before its refit my nearest Sainsburys had big piles of voucher leaflets lying around with 2 x £5 off £20 spend on each one...and all the staff were too busy with preparing for the refit to notice how many ended up in my bag. It was a heavy bag when I left the store!
Let's just say I shared out hundreds of pounds worth (not an exaggeration) on MSE and with my local friends, Mums at school etc - and still had a job to use all my own supply at Tesco. That was a couple of years ago now but happy days... and bear it in mind if a Sainsbugs near you says it's closing for a refit!PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
