My Dad bless him this morning offered to help me out financially which was SO tempting but I told him no, I have got myself into this mess and I will get myself out of it. A lot have been passed to dca's or charging no interest so I don't see the sense in taking my Dads money when I can do it with hard work. Sound a little strange I know but I need to do this to learn from my mistakes and realise that I can do things and carry them through!
How lovely of your dad, but I bet he is very proud of you wanting to sort things out yourself, so well done for that, but it's nice to know he is there for you if you are desperate one day, which I know you wont be, but you know what I mean!0 -

Afternoon all,
What a lovely sunny day
Not so good today, didn't wake up until 12 noon and that was only because little Oscar woke me up
Had to pop to shops to get some bits, kitten food and then stupidly popped into Next and spent £51  Feel really bad about it but at the same time I did need a few bits for my holiday......naughty.....I have left them in the bag and will try them on again before taking tags off etc just in case I decide to take them back
Need to get back on track tomorrow as only one week until we go away and have loads to do. In London tomorrow so an early start and expense straight away...so annoying
Anyhow, must get on and do some bits before popping to OH's parents later x0 -

Enjoy your hols!!!
Hmmm London. Personally I can take the place or leave the place. Too many people and the tube is always boiling and overcrowded. I tell you, I have done my time commuting to London for work and I wouldnt do it again. Not for all the tea in China. Maybe for all the frothy coffee in Italy.... I would consider? Hi Karen and all
Hope everyone is well and enjoying this lovely weather.
Did you keep your clothes from Next Karen? I was in the £100 crazy clothes challenge, but blew it today, so I am kind of mad at myself but at the same time I am happy with my new clothes! Got a couple of tops in Tesco tonight too and some for OH but only cost me 0.02p as I used my clubcard vouchers to take advantage of the double up thing just now.
Hope all is well with you, OH and Oscar.
How is Oscar. Dying to see a photo!

Hi Karen!
Well done on being brave enough to mange your own DMP, keep as posted as to how you get on with it, I might consider the same thing towards the end of the year for F&F purposes!
Welcome as well to Oscar, he sounds lovely and like he is keeping you occupied! I also noticed how much you have paid off your debts - that is very good going and I hope you get the interest paid back to you :j
Don't feel bad about the holiday clothes, we all need a little boost now and then
Very happily married on 10th April 2013

Hi all!! I'm a newcomer and hope to enter into this great support network - believe me - I need it!!
I've just started my DMP today - still getting loads of calls from all of the companies I owe money to - my partner doesn't know anything about all of this so things are a little tricky at the moment to say the least (!) but am commited to paying back this horrible debt mountain surely and steadily. It's a lonely road isn't it?? I've registered with CCCS and they have been the first positive helpful phonecall I've had in a long while - so currently feeling quite positive (until I check my mobile and home phone - which I've unplugged by the way and see how many missed calls I have!!) Oh well - will keep on keeping on and hope to chat to like minded people out there! :T0
