Well done on the decision to go it alone! Sure you will be fine, especially having some knowledge on the subject re creditors - I wouldn't know where to start!

I'm so glad I decided to go it alone....i've worked out after July payments my total debt with be sub £50K :j:j

Also after speaking to a lovely lady at barclay loan she noticed that they have still been charging interest when they shouldn't have been and is going to get it looked into....potentially a few hunderd refund....i'm hoping as they've been charging £60 odd a month when they shouldn't have - I really hope they do refund it as that'll mean that I will be a lot under £50K - woo hoo!

Given my debt was at the £63K mark when I first went with Payplan I don't think it's too bad. Now the hard work starts as I want rid. Most are with collections departments or dca's but I will work my socks off to settle as many as poss.

I'm feeling more determined than ever right now! x

    Hiya Karen

Good luck going it alone, and well done knocking £13k off. That is a big achievement. Stay focussed and remember you have made a lot of "virtual friends" here and we are always here for you if you have moments of "OMG can I do this alone"! Remember, you are not alone. Good luck hun.

Thanks Primula. I'm really trying to be positive about this especially when I telephoned payplan today and explained what I was doing and why.....

.....the womans reply was (I won't put her name).......

' well good luck but I don't think it'll be long before you are back asking us for help'.....

 SERIOUSLY......I was in shock, I didn't know what to say. I think I mumbled thanks and put the phone back.....I'm sure I must just had a nasty case worker but still who needs that ??:mad: Just makes me more determined!!!!

On a nice note, I think we are picking up our first addition to family tonight.....kitten....we're not sure on name yet.....:j
  • Somehow I dont think you'll be needing their help again, esp with that ratty attitude.

    Keith
    Evans
    Rascal
    Jackson
    Cooper
    Ryan
    Raider
    Zorro

A few are a bit whacky but hey! Why not!
