Well done for making the decision to organise yourself! I don't really know much about payplan and dmps but I guess it is better if you know u are in control of things. And by the sounds of things you can't do things much worse than they did :D

Working from home is hard - I really get sidetracked by other things especially MSE!

Hope you are having a good day x

    Hey babyhead!

How are you doing? I totally understand the getting sidetracked things - it's easy! I try and be good, shut office door and go into work mode but you know what it's like. For me it's making sure I have regular breaks as I am a nightmare for just plouging through for a few hours and then wondering why I start to get a headache and stiff :rotfl:

    Hope all is well x

It's easily done isn't it! I try hard not too though, my main distraction is this site :D x
  • At least this is a good site and keeps you on the straight and narrow.

I steer clear of ebay now, as its far to easy to get click happy and start spending.

    Hey GG!

Hope you are well. You are right, it's def a good site and now I have made the decision to leave Payplan DMP and deal with creditors myself I have a feeling I am going to need it more than ever to keep me on the straight and narrow!!! Although feeling very excited about sorting/dealing with things myself again...I feel a bit more in control now. It's 19 months this month I have been with PP - time to tackle it myself now
  • Well done you. Very brave and you have a whole host of experts on here who can help if you get stuck.

Feeling the need to go it alone takes confidence, so I applaud you for that.

Thanks for the well wishes. I am not sick as such, a little peeved about not working and hanging around waiting for job news. I could scream. I really could. I won't cos then tuna pasta bake will go ALL over the PC screen.

Yum....tuna pasta bake....:rotfl: I don't feel brave as yet, have done the hard work and phoned them up etc so fingers crossed it'll be ok. I'm just looking forward at the prospect of dealing with my own debts and taking some control. Don't get me wrong PP were very good at the beginning but of late they are starting to cause me a lot of hassle and I feel seen as I am doing the hard work even though I am with them I might as well carry on and deal with it all.

    Keep your chin up, :D
  • Oh I see. If they are becoming a pain in the butt, then they must be removed!

Yikes  I'm getting nervous about my decision to go it alone with my creditor now....but......I know I am doing the right thing. Taken control of my finances and dealing with my creditors head on and staying strong. I need this as felt so limited as to what I could do with Payplan and now feel capable enough (meaning know creditors tactics ;)) to know what to do in any situation.

To be honest most of them have been great and I am pleased I did opt for the dmp with PP as paid off around £10K now which is fab :T Now the hard work starts and the real battle :j

So pay day is looming, i'll be on here writing my speech of what I plan to do....please kick me into gear and make sure I do :o I need you guys to keep me on track :D

Thankfully OH is on side at the mo with money as we went a bit wild this past month and spent loads on food, going out etc....all very nice but not so nice when we see bank balance as it is and even for OH who has no debts as such he still doesn't like it. To me this is reassuring as he's actually thinking more about things and starting to appreciate that we do have to plan and spend better. he's off on climbing course at mo so i've neatly sorted our paper work to go through when he gets back (he plan not mine :T) .....i'm kinda glad as it's payday for both of us Mon and if we both go at it together to be super good etc then things will be far easier for me ;)

I'm really hoping my decision pays off and I see this debt really going down over the coming months.

Anyhow, enough of my babbling. Have a nice evening all.

    K xx

    Plan of action tomorrow.....

    1. Check online banking.
    2. 1 washload and hang out to dry on airers.
    3. Top up car oil - light flashing.
    4. Eat sensibly.
    5. 30 minute run.
    6. Spend lovely evening with the girls :D
    7. Work hard (at work) and spend less time surfing and
    posting here.....oops :o.
    8. Check if overtime is available for weekend - hope so!
    9. Start planning budget for payday, get envelopes/pots
    ready for weekly spends etc.

Nothing too bad really and majority will be done before I even start work so a pretty easy day ahead. Off to Southampton to catch up with the girls in the evening which will be lovely :D

Signing off now and heading to my bed me thinks.

    Night night all,

    K xx
