What's it about?

A good deal for regular Stabuckers. Pick up a 'Starbucks card' in stores, load it with £5 or more in-store then register it with the rewards programme on the Starbucks website (the offers the one at the bottom of that page) and you'll receive a voucher through the post for a free beverage of your choice (excluding bottled drinks) worth up to £3.45.

Make sure you tick the box agreeing to receive information by post/and or email when you register for the rewards programme otherwise you won't get it.

Which drinks can I order?

You can choose any Tall, Grande, or VentiTM drink. Prices range from £1.35 to £3.45.

How long's the free coffee available?

You'll need to top up your card and register it by 30 June in order to receive the voucher. Once you've received it you'll have until 30 July to use it.

Use the Starbucks store finder to locate your nearest Starbucks.

Will I get anything else?

Use your Starbucks card to pay at other times and you can also get free extra espresso shots, free flavoured syrups, soya milk and cream. Plus you'll receive other offers periodically.

Many thanks to MoneySaver mcallister1 for the top spot! This post's been inserted to provide a fully researched explanation of the deal.

In starbucks today Iwas discussing the end of the free estima coffee card and the barrista told me that he knew for definite that they were going to run a similar scheme for starbucks card holders who had a balance of 1p on their account. The current scheme gives you a free estima coffee every day after 2pm- we have been asking for it with plenty of hot milk and it has been great. I picked up a couple of cards to register in store- I suspect you may have to make a minimum payment that is more than £5, but it will be worth it...

Tried to register- you have to load the card with money in store first before you can register online. But the minimum is £2 so that is great.

This is all new to me...do I just request a card from the barrista next time I'm in Starbucks and then do the registration online?

In our Starbucks, they are in a little stand in front of the tills, they sort of look like a giftcard :D

Today the barrista told me that from 21st onwards, there will be rewards for the starbucks card holder.

She made it sounds like there are loads of offers including free syrups. I think she said one free drink. Would love to know what are the offers :D

That must be the same thing. I think its worth putting £2 on the card to see what turns up.

I'm chuffed to bits with the idea of free Starbucks offers :) I've spent a small fortune in there over the years and thought it was about time they had some sort of loyalty/reward scheme.

I can't wait to see what they offer!

Edit: Used the card today and the syrup I ordered for my coffee was taken off my bill :) only 30p I know but still a little nicety. The staff were puzzled, though and said that there must be a problem with the till. Luckily the manager was on hand to correct them - it does say on the reciept that it's a 'Starbucks Reward Discount' but it seems that the company haven't communicated this discount very well with staff.

I'd love to know if there are any offers but there's nothing on the website and I haven't had any emails, I'll keep a look out!

    Hi,

Like Charliezoo, I also got my syrup for free this morning. The barrista's told me it was the new 'starbucks rewards' program, and extra shots and syrups were free for cardholders who paid with their cards. Also more discounts to come, possibly free coffee?? Here's hoping!

It will only be for people who pay with the starbucks cards though, so for anyone just thinking of getting one and putting a £1 on it, it probably won't work.

Hopefully more information will come soon!
  • Starbucks is starting their new promotion (top secret, no one knows what it is, or at least aren't revealing anything!) on Friday 24th April.

I guess we'll all find out soon enough. Hope it's something fun like 1 free coffee a day! But it's only for people with Starbucks Cards.

I have had a starbucks card for about a year which I top up when I have change lying about in my purse, and nearly every month have had an offer through for something free, as well as the free estima coffee and money off coupons too. If you use Starbucks a lot its really worth using the card - but remember to register online! :T You can use them abroad as well. We did this in New York, as I am rubbish when it comes to american coins, saved me the affront of getting it all wrong!

I often buy put £5 on a card to give to people as part of their bday/xmas pressie, and they are always really chuffed! A wee change from a shop voucher and a nice way for a friend to treat themselves to some fancy drinks, especially if they usually drink instant!
