I am a huge starbucks fan and spend a fortune in there so this is great! Decided that I may as well top up my card online every few weeks and enjoy the benefits! Got my voucher for a free hand-crafted beverage in the post yesterday, very pleased!

I've already had my voucher through the post, and only have had my card registered maximum about 2 months ago. Although I'm guessing they're sending the vouchers out to ppl with high balances first? I have around £140 on my card at the mo.

I registered another card today to the same online account but wondered whether they would send me another voucher. Called up their number on the website and got told by a lady that no, I would receive another voucher with the newly registered card, even though it's on the same online account!

Now just need someone to confirm how much you need to load your card before they send you the voucher!! From the updated post it says £5, can anyone confirm?

Getting a voucher through the post was a real surprise, and made me glad that I kept my address up to date each time I moved.

All of my local Starbucks have been emptied out of cards ...

Well, the whipped cream isn't whipped cream, it's squirty cream, which is mostly air, so could be worse! And there's always that sugar free syrup. Although I wouldn't recommend it, I had sugar free hazelnut today as they ran out of the real stuff, and it was horrific. I couldn't drink it, it managed to be simultaneously sweeter than normal syrup and amazingly bitter. Added to the fact that their coffee is too cold unless you ask for extra hot (weird!!) and the BLT they sold me was the saltiest sandwich I've ever eaten, I was not impressed. I should have made the effort to keep walking until I found Costa. At least Costa makes a macchiato the right way round! :mad:

Bloody hate Starbucks, they have forced so many independent coffee shops out of business and their coffee sucks compared to cheaper brands like Illy and Lavazza.

Alternatively you could just go to Cafe Nero where they issue you with a card, which they stamp each time you buy a coffee. When you get to 9 stamps you get the 10th coffee free.
