Yes - they are on sale! I love Tesco's clothing, they are a generous fit and so a short leg too. I don't know if I can face another trek to Tesco today....ah dammit, I've already got two pairs of slouchy jeans, why do I need another?

Did you watch Gok's fashion fix this week Intergalactic Floozie? He pegged every item of clothing someone had on a big washing line on the beach and she went through and said which bits didn't fit/were unsuitable (most of it was and most of it was very similar i.e. lots of almost identical jeans) and then he developed a new capsule wardrobe for her - from the preview next week it's going to be a woman with a wardrobe full of cheap/reduced things with the tags still on. I'm always going to rember that washing line on the beach when I'm working out what clothes I need in future.Initial Mortgage January 2024 - £160,000

Hello great idea can I sign up?
I'm going to aim not to buy lunch or junk food or drink at work
i'm a newbie, need to save money and lose a bit of weight - hopefully this would help with both
thanks wb x0 -
I'm adding no credit card spends to my challenge. I need an incentive to stop using them. My debt is going down but it would go down quicker if I didn't keep adding to it:rotfl: I'm allowing myself to use my cc for pre budgeted and saved for things (for these I use Egg Money to get the cash back). I'm also going to stick to my cash budget every week. It's too easy to talk myself into anything I want. Now I have declared this on here I'll have to stick to it:D Although I can't count today as I have used my cc today:o Here's to tomorrow and the next 94 days:beer:

Had my first major challenge today - went to the shop, stood in the queue right next to the choccies and did I pick one up? Nope!!! I didn't - I walked right past. Ok it was only 10am and I don't usually have my chocolate cravings until lunch time
. An achievement none the less!
Magni - can you add no toiletries to my challenge. Need to keep in going to use up a whole load of stuff. Will only buy things as they run out. Thanks
Have a great day

I'm all excited because I've managed to sell a bit of my stash today :j We have a online small ads service through work and I popped some bits on last night and had a taker for some of it. Quite a few nice hotel mini soaps, a couple of free sample mini bottles of shower gel and some No7 Gift with purchase bits where the make up colour is wrong for me. Then a pot of moisturiser from a gift set that I really don't like the smell of.
Anyway managed to get £6 for it all, not bad as I didn't pay for any of it and most was a gift.
Got a couple more potential sales lined up but won't count my chickens yet...
I've decided to take the £6 to Boots and put it on a gift card, then when I do run out of something I want to replace I will have some money to spend on it - I'm pleased with the logic anyway. Have something I bought recently that I want to return to Boots anyway and have found the receipt so will try and do both tomorrow and go to Boots and not be tempted :rolleyes:Initial Mortgage January 2024 - £160,000

Not only have I resisted temptaion today but I have also got round to listing some of the toiletries stash on e-bay. Whislt listing I researched some prices fro Clarins (my favourite) and it was very tempting - I could easily have lingered and been seduced but - we have all said - I have made a committment and so must stick to it.
And yes - I watched Gok as well - was inspired to take a good hard look at my wardrobe - ebay will see some items over the next few months. And yes - many of them still had labels on!!!!
At least I am admitting to it!
Have a good evening everyone
