Can I join in too? I am not going to buy books (only have about 20 to read!), magazines and toiletries (unless I run out).
I haven't bought any of the above since Monday so that's already 5 of the 100 days done.
  • I caved in! I bought an Urban Decay eyeshadow with my boots points...does it count if I use points
    Start Date: 27/11/2010
    Padding: Day 42
    Target £8000
    Amount: £562.23

    Thanks Magni,
O.k I'm only on day one for me, but......made it through town today armed with my travel mug filled with home made coffee - managed to avoid starbucks and wasting money whilst waiting for train. wohooo.

clever plan to use your points IF :D
  • Hiya, can I join? Better late then never! I've had a good start this year.

I actually gave up buying toiletries, magazines, dvds and books for new years and was doing really well (had only bought deodrant when needed) until I spent £25 on some face wash/ cream etc, whoops. Still not bad for 4months and I'm using up my stash!

I'm giving up sanitary products as I'm making my own but that's hopefully a lifetime not 100day things.... so.... as well as the toiletries I'm going to give up:

    1. Sweeties, crisps, icecream!!, cakes, cookies and chocolates (unless homemade... or bought for me, as I know I'll give in hehe... this will be the hardest thing for me to give up)
    2. No buying bottles of drink (only tap water in a bottle for me this summer! Just need to remember a bottle)
    3. No clothes!!! I have enough for the summer and can make the rest so would like to see if I can do 100 days.
and I'll continue with my year of no toiletries, magazines, dvds and books...
    :A
    Saving for my future...

I've been gradually drinking up the coke that I bought before the challenge. Tomorrow is the start of cold turkey. Have been alternating coke with water and squash so hopefully there will be no side effects from stopping.
  • Hello to all new challengers and old faces!

I noticed something weird today. Having given up chocolate for the previous challenge, I noticed today that I DON'T LIKE two kinds of chocolate I've been eating for years. I must have just been gulping it down out of habit and never stopped to actually taste it. :o

This time I'm not buying: cosmetics (unless I run out), chocolate, alcohol, food at work and am trying to walk instead of getting the bus. Feeling slimmer already! I've taken coffee off the list though, as it is my only vice!

magni - I think you missed me off the list on page 1, hun!
