Today I finished a decore $1 hair conditioner and I am so glad it's finished as i really didn't like it. Only 13 more bottles of different conditioners to go(thats not counting treatments:o). I am also almost finished a toothpaste, hand cream, foot cream and facial moisturiser. There is only a tiny bit in each so will be glad when they are finished. I am taking great pleasure in finishing up products, it is usch a great feeling:j

Couldn't agree more puss14 - can't believe how many part used products I had and sachets/samples which I could have used rather than buying/opening full sized things.

Sold 4 more things on Friday after work, things I'd got from Boots as part of a stupidly good offer but actually totally wrong for my hair type and got £4 for them.

Didn't make it into Boots yesterday though - was too busy looking at clothes (something I actually need and someone else is paying for it ;)) so just walked past. :j Will try and get in tomorrow just to put this £10 onto a giftcard before it gets spent on something else.

    6 days completed so far:T

 Oh no it's beauty day again on QVC - am seriously tempted to get the GHD's. Wanted some for ages, will I use them not too sure  Need to spend this afternoon in the garden to not watch it and get distracted.

It only seems a month since the last beauty day. I am struggling a bit/lot :o Time to confess :o I bought myself a new perfume as I had used up my last one, Prescriptives Calyx; then bought a couple of Bobbi Brown things to take on holiday soon and a 241 "offer" on Prescriptives Super Line Preventor - all from QVC :o

I felt guilty about this but felt I could justify these things as I hadn't stockpiled them and had run out of serums for use under a moisturiser for the SLP. I wanted something I could wear to stop me looking so rough without make up on a countryside holiday (I need a bit more help these days!) hence the Bobbi Brown Balm with SPF. Only a slight justification. A least I didn't buy another moisturiser (actually I did it's a tinted moisturiser :o Doh!)

Right I have decided NO GHD's for me and nothing on Beauty Day for me either. Will stick to this now.

:D Positively I have finished off loads of things and the stockpile drawers are emptying nicely :j

    Gatineau Neck Firming Gel 50ml
    Molton Brown Body Lotion 100ml
    Decleor Neroli Oil 15ml
Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish Pump 100ml
Liz Earle Brightening Treatment Pump 50ml
    Gatineau Collagen Force Serum 15ml

A Gatineau eye cream is on the way out and a Gale Hayman eye gel too is nearly finished and a Liz Earle Gentle Face Exfoliator and a Gatineau face mask also nearing the end :D

So, getting there in some ways and not in others. I am finding myself more tempted by Boots than I ever was before. Before I didn't bother because I bought everything from QVC. Now I find myself looking at the budget ranges in Boots and M+S. Not bought anything yet and can't as have tons of moisturiser still.

The cleanser pile is reducing but still plenty of months to go yet as a full size Liz Earle and Decleor to go and lots of toner. Why can't I see this as positive and use it up rather than think ' ohhh, better get something else in nearly out of this...'?

Just remembered, I haven't bought any chocolate and crisps so far as planned! Yeah!!!! Managing some bits of the challenge then, yipee!!! Not all bad then.

The beauty bits are much much more difficult for me this time again. I feel I have made some progress however I have a long long way to go. QVC'c claws are well and truly stuck in me and not letting go just yet. If I get through today I feel I'll have made some more progress.
I don't need to get anything for my holiday apart from a small size of shampoo which is a good thing and I can't let myself get carried away in the shops when I buy this.

Confession over, must keep on going it's a steep gradient on this hill for me at the moment

  • Hiya FedUp, glad to see you're still doing well! I was very tempted by Philosophy this morning.... Purity foaming cleanser nearly had me! But I resisted, and was asleep when the LE show was on this morning... and DS is watching Peppa Pig, so no buying for me just now :)
If you do want GHDs, I haven't seen the price on QVC, but I bought GHD IV styler from HQHair.com, through Quidco, for just under £100. It didn't come with any products or a travel pouch, but as I still had one from my old straighteners, it didn't really matter. And they are defininately worth the money!

Been food shopping today, and bought some washing powder... I do still have a whole box, but OH wants his clothes washed in Ariel (not Sains basic powder like mine) and he's paying, so I'm not counting that! :)
Have nearly finished a C&P 100ml pump, and trying to use up the gentle exfoliator 100ml pump (but I'm really not liking it at all!) and the other one will go on ebay. Oh, I did buy another body lotion today, but I had to because the £1 off token ran out today..... does that count as a fail?:o

The GHDs are £118 for the straightener and some other bits and bobs. Now I feel tempted again!. Going off line now and outside to escape the temptation as the bloomin GHD trailer is on again!

Fedupandskint - keep strong only 7 hours of beauty day to go!!!!!!

So far so good although QVC is very tempting...... must turn over now....

Making packed lunches for tomorrow, hopefully will stick to all challenges next week. As a side effect of not buying cupcakes and crisps and choc I think I may actually lose a bit of weight too (fingers crossed) although have enough challenges so not pushing myself too far just yet.

Good luck all for the new week xxx

    Good luck all
  • Flicking between QVC and the footie, and have to say the footie is more appealing at the minute! The only Philosophy I was interest in will be on again soon, so will stick to the footie for now.... might watch the GHD show at 6 to get so ideas for styling, but otherwise I will be QVC-free for the rest of the day :D

Sorry I'm late- I was on holidays!
I'm going to continue with no magazines and clothes. Had a hiccup a couple of days ago- added the Sainsbury magazine at the checkout without thinking and didn't even realise until I got home that I'd broken the challenge!!
