Hiya!
Could I join in?! I'd love to give up the following for 100 days....
1) DVDs (even those "bargains" at £5 in the supermarket)
2) Magazines (execept cosmo as I have a subscription)
and hardest of all
3) shoes.... So far this year (16 weeks) I have purchased 10 pairs of shoes. So none for the next 100 days..

Ninno, I'm in the same boat. I moved home in March and had a chest of drawers jam-packed full of toiletries, including half a dozen of those Molton Brown little bottles from various gift sets I've been bought.
My worst (even worse than the 11 deodorants) had to be the drawer full of body lotion though. I haven't dared count the bottles, but I have a drawer that won't shut properly as it is so full of them. I tried to use one yesterday and I think it's gone off as it smelled completely vile.
I used it anyway like - one of the joys of living alone is that nobody else gets offended by my smelling rank:rotfl:0 -
I'm glad I'm not the only one *stocktaking* my drawers and cupboards and being shocked by how much stuff I've got! It's a real eye opener. Over the last few years I've lived in 4 places in 5 years whilst I was a student/just after graduating and have now lived in my *proper* house for over 2 years and although I hate moving I do miss the need to pack everything up every year or so - makes you realise just how much stuff you have!
This morning I used up my other sachet of shampoo and the last of the little bottle of nice hotel conditioner - so I'm on the big bottles of shampoo and conditioner from tomorrow (have 3 of each stashed away but these have all been bought in the last month or so). Using the little bottles and the sachets has postponed the need to open my big bottles by a week and I've created some space by using them up too :jInitial Mortgage January 2024 - £160,000

Am I too late to join? Have just bought 6 bottles of wine [half price] and pledge to buy no more for next 100 days. but will not count celebrating at son's wedding in May. Is this cheating?Grocery challenge 2025: £650/1500 annual budget0

Love this idea
I pledge to not buy any:
Books (should be fairly easy)
Clothes (more of a challenge)
Meals when out (gonna be very hard this one as it is my main way of socializing - will have to drag out the cookbooks and have mates round for dinner instead)
I didn't spend on any of these since the weekend so am counting this as day 3. Hope that's not against the rules.
Good luck everyone.

I have a question:
I had planned not to pay for chocolate however, do you think it is ok to eat it if others have paid (i.e. there are some eggs at work)?

I would like to pledge:
NO COKE
NO CLOTHES ( unless its money neutral on ebay)
I have a bad cherry coke addiction, and could do without spending on overpriced clothes, esp since Im a poor student.
