Hi sorry I know I'm a bit late starting this one! Can I please pledge to give up eating out. That's not just a meal in a resturant, that's sandwiches at lunch time, toast in the morning, a starbucks coffee.

I'm just finding all my money goes on outside food - and I'm putting on weight to prove it also!

The only thing that DOESN'T count in this is alcohol. I still want nights out!!

Thanks - and here's to my belated day one!! :T
    End of 2010 I was £8,007.66 in debt :(
    Today's total: £7,297.06 :o

A quarter of the way through the challenge - well done everyone so far:T

I've failed twice - both times due to not being organised and buying food or drink at work. But hey, 23 days of money and cupboard saving is good enough for me for a first attempt. Will aim for full 25 days for the next quarter

I desperately need a haircut but not sure if can stand up to the product hard sell, I think will book for next weekend and take cash!!!!

keep up the good work xx

    Hi Wigwam

If you are anything like me you have a drawerful of products. Last time I went to a salon I told them I had the stuff from the last three times I was there so there's no point in you buying it. The limited cash will also help.

    Good luck

    Hi All

I was part of the last 100 day challenge, but jumped in late and cant find that so am jumping in again here! I hope thats ok!

So far Im on Day 68 of not buying any toiletries, Lotions or potions - Ive lost count of what I have used up but know that it includes,
    • 2 half bottles of Shampoo
    • 2 half bottles of Conditioner
    • 2 half bottles of shower gel
    • 1 tube of hand cream
    • 1 can of deodrant
    • 1 can of body spray
    • 1 tube of intensive conditioning cream treatment stuff for hair
    • 1 bottle of mouthwash
    • 1 half bottle of baby lotion
    • 1 tube of mascara
    • 1 bottle of nail varnish remover
    • and am almost finished two half-bottles of bubble bath!
But im struggling now!!!!!!!!!!!! I really really really want to buy some new shampoo.....I dont like the shampoo that I have left - not that there is anything particularly wrong with it........I just dont love it!

Thats what got me into this situation in the first place!
MUST FINISH SHAMPOO - CAN ONLY BUY WHEN ABSOLUTELY NONE LEFT IN HOUSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Im going to treat myself to some really nice stuff when Ive done this as my treat for decluttering the carp!

Please please talk me out of buying anything......Ive done really well so far! xxx

Everyone added to date:D Welcome to all the newbies:cool:

I'm still doing ok here. One slip up as I bought Fairy Fabric conditioner as it was bogof and I couldn't resist:o My laundry stash is going down though and in my defense I don't have as much fab con stashed as washing powder/liquid/gel/tablets. I've only got about 5 bottles now:o

Great to see everyone doing so well and also hearing about everyone's slip ups. We're only human after all and at least we are addressing our problems and buying less which is a big step.

Sarah I would recommend Simple eye make up remover. It's dead cheap and works really well. It's non oily which I like though it may not be to everyone's taste.

    Hello everyone :hello:

My use up is continuing at a pace. The Liz Earle 50ml C+P is finished, the L'Occitane Milk Shower Cream 250ml is finished, the Liz Earle Brightening Treatment 50ml is finished too and finally a Gale Hayman Eye Lift Gel 50ml is used up too :D:j

Very happy that some of the stocks are reducing nicely. Has mild panic about what I would use to clean my face in a morning when I realised I still had 150ml of C+P left plus more! Must not panic and not stock up as I don't need to.

Still not eating crisps and chocolate and not going to Mr T's at lunch time so all is going well which is good :D

Nearly forgot - Thanks Sarah, arrived today, many thanks!

Tee hee - I can get anywhere - me! To be fair - we're all in a similar boat which is probably why we are on this thread!

Good luck with the hairdresser - it's actually quite nice to assert yourself and you feel so much more confident once you've done it.

Let us know how you get on!

Little slip today, bought a book from a charity shop. Although it was one I really wanted and cost £1.50 instead of £15.
