Morning everyone.... so yesterday I had my first slip up.... I went into Boots to buy a new lip gloss (actually did need one) but the make-up range was on 3for2... so I might have bought two lips glosses and some eye shadow
In my (very weak) defence, I didn't have any eye shadow..... yeah ok, that was rubbish! Miss number one for me'We are all in the gutter, but some of us are looking at the stars' - Oscar Wilde0 -
Hello everyone!
I'm back from my hols which were fab (now sad to be back!). It's back to the nose on the grindstone for me in tackling this area of problems for me!
I am returning to QVC the Bobbi Brown Nude on Nude palette I bought for my hols which I thought wouyld be great for a dressed down look. They are lovely quality but too similar in tones for me. Will send it back on Tues.
Am nearly at the end of a 250ml L'Occitane Milk Shower Cream and a 100ml Liz Earle C+P. Not much else close to being used up. Didn't buy any products whilst away which was good and didn't go into Boots either to be tempted!
Did eat crisps and choccie while away allowed as per challenge and most of homebaked treats. Not one takeaway whilst away.
Feel motivated to continue in this way, however need to cut back on the home baking now as feeling v.podgy now! A week away and no QVC has been a great break and no feelings of temptation!
Must stay away from channel 16 to continue in this frame of mind.
Everyone else sounds like they are doing ok too.
Sarah - don't worry it happens to us all, I just had to pick myself up and carry on again.final unsecured debt to repay currently £8333Proud to be Dealing With my DebtDFW Nerd 1154 Long Haul 1550 -
Oh completely forgot when I last posted on Thursday that I broke the rules that day - not really my fault....honestly......
spent £10 at work on bottles of water for colleagues after meeting I'd booked turned out to be in a room which was I'm sure really a greenhouse
Maybe will not take money to work in future so I can't be the one to jump up and say "I'll go get some water"!!!!
So thats 2 of however many days that I've fallen down on, but hey plenty more to go0 -
I am on Day 16 now and I had to buy batteries for my toothbrush, but I would say thats pretty much essential so I am not gonna count it.
I have used up one body cream and one shower gel and 1 bar of soap in the last few days, and also a toothpaste.
Shame i still have hundreds of the things left:rolleyes::rotfl::heartpulsOnce a Flylady, always a Flylady:heartpuls0 -
I have used up a small L'Occitane Cherry Blossom Body Lotion 35ml. Still I've had it for ages so at least it has gone!
The travel sized drawer stocks has massively reduced in stock levels. The skincare stocks and make up stocks are still humungous! I am determined more than ever to maintain this level of control on this challenge. Shame I can't get through the moisturisers any quicker!final unsecured debt to repay currently £8333Proud to be Dealing With my DebtDFW Nerd 1154 Long Haul 1550 -
Hello,
I know I am late but I'd like to join. I've been thinking about this and like so here we are, I actually started on 1st mayand am giving up buying toiletries. I have so much stuff in my cupboards and freebies I think I should be fine. Thaanks so here we are for working out the 83 days til th eend of the challenge - if it's ok, I will do the 83 day challenge instead of it being 100.
Also, have been thinking about not buyoing newspapers or magazines and reading them at the gym before or after the workout or going to the library. The only excpetion is a saturday when I buy a paper for the TV guide. If I gave them up every other time, could that count?
Snowy:j I feel I am diagonally parked in a parallel universe :j0 -
Still doing well here and actually remembering to use my moisturisers etc so that hopefully by the end of the 100 days my stockpile will have gone too.0

Everyone's doing so well - congrats to all on progress to date :T
First slip for me this weekend - I ran out of toothpaste so bought one, only to find I already had one tucked at the back of a cupboard.
Going to do a full smellies inventory today. Scary thought!0 -
robbo2105 - I daren't do an inventory! It might be a good thing tho' as it will make me see how much stuff I do have! Hummm! Will have to put this on my to do list......good luck with yours!
2 questions now. I go through a lot of handcream and for the last couple of years I have used L'Occitane (Honey and Lemon/Shea/Lavender) and I find they really suit my skin.
After I bought the last one (Shea £15) the price made me feel a bit sick at spending this much on handcream. Now I am due to run out soon I am not sure what to buy
Can any one recommend a good handcream that sinks in and doesn't smell too artificial?
On a similar note I always bought tons of make up sets from QVC and always had mascara in them. I haven't bought one for years. Can anyone recommend a good non flaky mascara and non smudgy by the end of the day. I really don't want to spend a lot on a mascara as I am due to run out soon.
I am trying to rein in my spending habits in this area too as well as actually buying things. I don't really want to spend £15 on a handcream and mascara anymore.
Any comments greatly appreciated from my fellow challengers!final unsecured debt to repay currently £8333Proud to be Dealing With my DebtDFW Nerd 1154 Long Haul 1550
